Our stay at this hotel in Yuanyang was one of the worst travel experiences we’ve ever had. We had booked a transfer through the hotel and clearly requested a large car for four suitcases. The driver arrived one hour late, and the car was too small, forcing our elderly mother to travel crammed with a suitcase on her lap. On dangerous mountain roads in rain and fog, the driver talked on the phone the entire time — it was truly unsafe. When we arrived, both rooms were not ready. • One room had leaking toilets, a loose bathtub, and no heating or electric blanket. When we mentioned the bathtub wasn’t fixed, the staff simply said: “You can just take a shower.” • The other room had toilets leaking sewage directly onto the floor — our urine literally ran across the bathroom floor. The next morning, the bathtub emptied entirely onto the floor, flooding the room and soaking our clothes and suitcases. No manager came to help; the staff were very young and clearly untrained, and they even mocked us on speakerphone when speaking with their manager. Later, we discovered mold on the walls in the replacement room. The hot water took 10–15 minutes to arrive, and the bathtub had no cold water. To make things worse, on the second day, three of us (including two elderly people) were locked outside in the rain for 30 minutes, while another person was trapped inside the hotel because the door was locked from the inside. This hotel is poorly managed, unsanitary, and unsafe. We left one day earlier than planned. I strongly advise future travelers to avoid this hotel entirely until serious improvements are made in safety, hygiene, and management.
