cloud Hotel (No.3 Yuanyang)

I mainly came for the terraced fields, but unfortunately, due to heavy fog, I couldn't see anything... The hotel staff came to pick us up from the parking lot, and we didn't have to carry any of our luggage. There are no restaurants nearby, and the mountain road is difficult to drive, so we couldn't go out to eat and had to have dinner at the hotel. The room's decor details aren't great; let's just say the premium price is entirely for the terraced fields.

The owner was fantastic; they added me on WeChat beforehand to share important tips and local recommendations for attractions. Any questions I had were answered very quickly. The guesthouse itself was spotless and probably offers the best value for money in Yuanyang. Waking up to a view of the rice terraces right from my window was incredibly relaxing. Both the sun-drenched terraces and those enveloped in a sea of clouds offered unique and beautiful experiences.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a viewing platform on the upper floor perfect for watching the sunrise. The rooms feature 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing you to enjoy the terraced fields right from the sofa. The food is also very good. There's roadside parking available, and the staff can help transport your luggage to the hotel.

I booked this hotel in advance through the platform, and the owner was very responsible, contacting me beforehand and sending me the hotel's location and important notes. This B&B didn't disappoint. It's located right next to the Yuanyang Rice Terraces, and the owner upgraded us to a scenic room. We could see the layers of terraces right from the floor-to-ceiling windows, which was great for photos. You can also go up to the rooftop viewing platform for more photo opportunities. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast noodles were delicious, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and eggs. Thanks to the owner for the gift of red rice. This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Our room had a breathtaking view directly overlooking the magnificent Yuanyang rice terraces. The floor-to-ceiling windows framed the scenery beautifully, like a stunning painting. In the mornings, you can quietly enjoy the sunrise over the terraces just by opening the curtains, or head up to the rooftop observation deck, or even relax on the sofas in the restaurant – truly, every corner of this hotel offers a scenic vantage point. The in-room amenities are also top-notch, offering great value for money. It's really ideal for a relaxing getaway; I recommend staying a few extra days to truly immerse yourself in the village's culture. The owner is incredibly kind and accommodating, always ready to help and recommend unique local experiences. The a-po (grandmother) who works as a server even helped carry our luggage from the parking lot – such a warm gesture. For breakfast, the red rice noodles were delicious, and I finally got to try Yunnan's small-bean coffee. We also had dinner at the hotel's restaurant, enjoying local specialties like braised fish and dried yak jerky, which tasted wonderful.
