Brilliant hotel in the heart of things, love the dark setting with most of the lighting being from floor lights, really add to effect.
Couldn’t fault it really, only minor thing was you could t open the window, room was a little stuffy in the morning but this wouldn’t put me off staying again!
Staff were exceptional, credit to the hotel.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here last night and we couldn’t fault it one bit. A hidden gem, gorgeous decor and superb friendly service upon arrival and also as we left. We booked the hot tub room and it was incredible. Perfectly placed in the city centre and everything is within a walking distance, 10 min walk from train station and overall beautiful place and we will definitely be booking here again on our next visit to York.

This hotel is lovely! It is central to the city and very easy to reach and access. It has a wonderful atmosphere, being romantic and atmospheric while also being friendly and safe. I stayed in a "Sublime" room which really lived up to its name what with its 4 poster bed, candles, mood lighting and lovely shower. Was perfectly clean. While the city is busy, night time noise did not bother me. Top class place.

Absolutely brilliant experience at the Impossible Motel. On arrival, the staff were very friendly and kindly stored our bags whilst we went for some food, on returning, we were shown to our room, which was exactly as described, and given that I'd said that it was my wife's birthday, there was a large baloon and a bottle of prosecco waiting for us. Highly recommend & we will definitely be back! Thanks again.

It was a special occasion and although initial impressions were good we left disappointed We had the Stella room and although we spoke to the staff twice about the smell in the room nothing was done. It was a disgusting sewerage stench. We had a deal which meant 12noon checkout however the smell from the drains meant we escaped to the room terrace to try to escape the stench. Nothing was offered or alternatives . We left very disappointed with our stay sadly :(

Chose to stay at the Impossibe Motel for our wedding anniversary with my wife. Great experience! They offered a special anniversary package, giving a romantic touch to our Stella Solarium room with some drinks, rose petals, bouquet of flowers, and a balloon. Having a private hot tub terrace was a pleasing experience too. Reception was very welcoming. In the evening, the room next to us was talking a bit too loudly, but after contacting night staff, they managed to handle the situation quickly. When I checked out, the reception staff was so kind and let us have a sneaky peek into the other rooms. When I go back, I will definitely try out the other rooms too as they all have a completely unique ambience and seem to offer new completely new experience.

We loved our stay here, totally to our taste with the quirky features! We stayed in the Mail Room - we’re not bothered about having a doorless loo, the shower was decent and bed comfy enough ☺️ Perfect location in the city centre

The customer experience was second to none and it has a great location. The room had everything you would need for a small stay and the best was incredibly comfortable. There was a bit of noise outside but after all you are in the city centre
