"It only takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the hotel by JR train, so it is easy to find. The main entrance faces the traffic light. It has a history of 300 years and has a traditional style. You need to change indoor slippers in the lobby first, and the waiter will take them out immediately when you go out. Guests' shoes will be changed for you. The entire building is already worth admiring. There is an orthodox Japanese garden with a lot of koi fish in the pond and beautiful maple leaves. You can enjoy the garden from the balcony of our room. Inside the room The bathroom has a wooden bathtub. Dinner and breakfast are eaten in the room... Our butler is very professional and introduces all kinds of food... There is also free beer and Coke. There is an electric heating blanket in the center of the room, which is thick and soft. There is no heating...but it will be very cold if you leave this area...This is an old building, and the technology was not that advanced at that time. The hot spring pool is not big, but there are two baths, which are beautiful and comfortable. Morning and evening Men's and women's baths are interchangeable. There is a "Fox's Footsteps" restaurant across the road from the hotel that is worth recommending."

"Rooms were clean, check in was easy, breakfast was satisfactory. The info related to parking in the reviews is incorrect. The hotel does not have its own parking and you need to use pay parking close by the hotel. There are several options at different price levels, and the hotel recommends which one to use upon check-in but be advised that the parking lots begin to fill up as the day gets later so the later you arrive, the more you pay for parking, and hopefully all does not fill up. Overall, I would go back if I the area, it was a great price / value."

"After enjoying the hot springs that evening, we enjoyed a kaiseki meal—Yamaguchi Prefecture's famous fugu cuisine. 😋 It was our first time eating fugu. They had fugu sashimi, a small hot pot, fugu chawanmushi, and small fugu tempura. 😅 The waiters were very attentive, explaining the ingredients and cooking methods for each dish so we could savor the flavors. It was much better than our previous experiences at other hot spring inns. A big plus! 👍"

"It is a hotel that seems to have been a little before. I made a reservation with an unusual evening breakfast. Dinner was Japanese food, but it was surprising and delicious because there were Western-style seasoned fish in some places. Although there are no hot springs such as these, the hot water itself felt relaxed and the skin was clean (personal impression), and the satisfaction was high. So, it's a mystery of the title breakfast, but on the reservation site, there was no refusal and the breakfast was Japanese breakfast, so I made a reservation without worrying about anything, but it seems that there is also a Western breakfast. At the receptionist at the front desk, there was a note that I was checking at check-in. I chose "Japanese" at the time of site reservation, so it is natural that I was not asked, and there is no complaint there, but it is a mystery where I was able to make a reservation. Also, there was no non-smoking / smoking display in the plan, so I didn't notice it at all when I made a reservation, but it is a basic smoking room. This is because of this belief, so it can't be helped. Please be careful if you pass through the reservation site"

"This was my fifth visit, and I'm starting to think I don't need to come back. There are only two rooms with pools, and it's usually very difficult to book them on weekends. When you stay there, you can book up to a year in advance by saying "see you next year," so I ended up asking and visiting every year. When I stayed there in April this time, I was told that they were fully booked until after Golden Week next year. I don't know when they started allowing reservations more than a year in advance. I always go by car, and the staff's attitude is drastically different depending on the type of car I drive. Perhaps because I'm a repeat customer, the explanations have become more and more sloppy each year. The large public bath and meals were satisfying, but I've come to the conclusion that I would rather stay at a luxury hotel with perfect service no matter how many times I visit."
