Comfort Hotel Shin Yamaguchi Reviews

I visited Shin-Yamaguchi after a few days in Fukuoka. The weather was still cold, and it rained a little. From the station, just cross the street, and you’ll arrive at the hotel. It’s about a three-minute walk if you have luggage. Next to the hotel, there’s a 7-Eleven and many izakayas. The manager greeted me warmly, and the staff were extremely friendly. They would greet guests as they walked in, making me feel very welcome. Welcome drinks and coffee are available until midnight—I loved their lemon water! You can also use the library/cafeteria for work or reading, which is quite convenient. Amenities are placed on the first floor next to the elevator. Breakfast tickets are available, with multiple time slots to choose from. The room size is big for the price. The bathroom is compact, but I had no issues enjoying a bath. The only inconvenience was the lack of a remote control to adjust the air-conditioner’s wind direction. There are two washing machines and two dryers on the fourth floor, both of which can be connected via an app. If you don’t have coins, you can pay through the app with a credit card, and it will show a timer for when your laundry is done. The washing machine is easy to use, but the dryer took a bit long. Ice is also available on this floor. There are no complimentary bottled waters in the room, so I often went down to the first floor for lemon water and coffee. Breakfast was more abundant than I expected. Since this is a chain hotel, I didn’t expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised by the selection. The menu seemed to change daily, and I really enjoyed having breakfast here. Definitely worth the price. If I visit Yamaguchi again, I would definitely book this hotel!

The hotel is right across the JR station. The room is small as expected but served its function for a short stay.

Nice and clean hotel although room is a bit small. Free drinks and usage of dining area is a great welcome. However, breakfast is same everyday (across all comfort hotel). Got bored of the breakfast as we had the same breakfast everyday.

Size of the room and toilet is very small. Location is fantastic, short walk from the station. Lots of eateries nearby and there is also a 7-11 convenience store a stone throw away. Breakfast variety is good!

Overall it was a clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast was also good with different varieties of food. Though don’t expect much being a business hotel. Basic room category is small in size for a family.

The seafood and ramen dishes available nearby were not disappointing, and the hotel breakfast and hair dryer were the most enjoyable! There is also an old house dessert run by grandma in the alley, I really like it

You need to get a ticket for the hotel breakfast the day before check-in, otherwise you won't have a seat for breakfast the next day. The occupancy rate of this hotel is quite high. It is located 2 minutes from Shin-Yamaguchi Station, which is very convenient for taking the Shinkansen! The mattress is Serta, very soft and very comfortable to sleep on! You can store your luggage at this hotel without the front desk, because there is a locker at the entrance of the hotel. You can put your luggage in it, set your favorite password, and then remember it. You can pick up your luggage at any time without disturbing the front desk. It's very convenient! This is definitely a plus and worth learning for all hotels👍

It's really close to Shin-Yamaguchi Station, so I like it!! Overall, it's clean. There's a mart nearby within walking distance, so it was good for shopping. The free breakfast quality is good♡♡

The room is small, as you can imagine. The breakfast is surprisingly good, with freshly squeezed juice and several hot dishes, and plenty of vegetables and fruits. This breakfast space is also a reading room. It is just a few steps away from Shin-Yamaguchi Station. The bus station is next to the train station, and there are direct buses to Hagi.
