Ibis Styles Hotel (Xiamen Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street) Reviews

I felt confident booking this hotel since it’s part of an international brand. The room was spacious, clean, and featured a comfortable bed, as expected, with all the listed amenities provided. There’s a shared laundry room, which is very convenient. However, the receptionist seemed a bit confused when assisting foreign guests due to the language barrier. It’s understandable, but it would be more professional if they avoided laughing during moments of miscommunication. Overall, the hotel is in a very convenient location, surrounded by many shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this place.

Very-very good location on the shopping street in the heart of the old town! Big room! Good value for its price! But somewhere conditions of the hotel and rooms are bad, some parts of our room were dirty or nor repaired well, lobby was dirty, hotel looked untidy and neglected. Honestly It seems like the hotel is not being taken care properly. Comparing to other Ibis hotels - this one is in bad condition and this is not okey!

Stayed here because Ibis hotels are well trusted internationally and this one tops the list! A) superb location B) early n late check out timing C) free refreshment bar n breakfast are awesome D) staff are always smiling and accommodating E) matteress n pillow make u want to sleep forever F) room cleaning is impressive Ibis never disappoints!

Location is very convenient. Good service. Clean and neat room. The dryer is not enough powerful. It takes 2 hours to dry clothes

Excellent location altough exterior looks a little run down. Friendly and helpful service staff.

The place is clean. There is an elevator. You can enter from escalator of zhongshan road or from behind and use their elevator. The lobby is at 2nd floor. They clean everyday and provide toothbrush, slippers and other ammenities. It’s in the middle of zongshan road. Taxi to and from airport only costs 40-45rmb which is very affordable. A lot of food beside it and souvenir shops. I only walked to 8th market and shapowei… If you don’t like walking, you can ride a taxi. Train is also near. I only spent 5rmb to go to jimei village via their train.

My second stay with Ibis. Excellent location right smack at zhong shan walking street and di ba shi market. Lots of eateries and convenient access to public transport. Got a free upgrade to King bed. Hotel staff are very polite.

Great location and accessibility. Except for the fact that they only have 1 x lift servicing all the 5 storey of rooms about 30 rooms per level which I find unacceptable.

When I write a review, I always put in perspective the price I can paying for and it's competitiness in the country. 1. Cleanliness is good. Housekeeper is friendly and accommodating. 2. Hail a car from airport to hotel cost about Sgd5 and less than Sgd5 from hotel to airport for me. Actual will depend on your App and cars you pick. 3. Hotel location is impeccable with the starting point of Zhongshan Road right below the Hotel. 4. Staff is helpful and friendly. 5. Breakfast is decent for the price. The range is not extensive, but one has to look at the price you are paying for. Coffee maker at Libby makes freshly brewed coffee. 6. There is a little gym for simple workout. Overall, it is a satisfactory experience and I have no complaints. (I would like to upload for photos, but my family's faces would appear... :))

The breakfast was really lousy and putting a big advertisement on croissants in front of the entrance but not providing it was like adding salt to injury. What is really unacceptable was only one elevator is used for four floors of guests: I wonder how could they meet the basic security requirements. Being a frequent and experienced traveller I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Styles Hotel. Good safety and convenient transportation
