A fantastic B&B - We actually stayed in August 2023 but didn't get around to reviewing. Liked - Great host that greeted us and explained breakfast etc and showed us to our room. Couldn’t fault the room. Room had tea, coffee, biscuits fresh milk and water in the mini fridge and breakfast is a basket full of a selection (you choose the day before) of cereals, pastries, toasts, yogurts, eggs and juices brought up to your room to enjoy at your leisure - I love this concept. A short walk to the harbour, great location. Disliked - the room was really hot through the night but we should have enquired about the fan (there was a small fan heater in our room but I wasn’t sure if it was just a heater or not so didn’t put it on).

Excellent stay at anchorage house room was clean and bed comfortable. breakfast brought to your door good choice and tasty also if you want you can take food back at night. bonus was parking in drive at b&b thank you mick and Debbie for a excellent stay.

Fantastic place everything is great the bed was very comfy every where is very clean and a cute breakfast basket brought to room 10 mins walk into the town centre plenty of pubs and restaurants had a good laugh with the owners 100% would stay again

I cannot fault this lovely place, Mick the owner was so welcoming and friendly. He told us the best restaurants to eat at, the room was soo beautiful we stayed in the deluxe room, very clean and the bed was the comfiest I’ve slept in. We got our breakfast this morning to our room and it came in the cutest basket everything was so nice we would both highly recommend this place and we will definitely be going back.

We stayed here for a birthday treat & will definitely be returning in the future. The house is absolutely stunning, ample off street parking & peaceful location. Our room (2) at the front of the house was very spacious & beautifully decorated, my partner loved the bed as it fit his 6’4 comfortably. The room was equppped with tea & coffee facilities & a small fridge with milk & water which we could top from downstairs if needed. Breakfast is delivered to your room to enjoy at leisure, the choice is plentiful & portions excellent. Our hosts were friendly & welcoming, they provided us with tips on local places to eat & drink which were spot on. A great place to make a return visit : )

Enjoyed a lovely stay in Whitby at Anchorage, easy parking, friendly and welcoming owners, great location 10mins walk down to town, steady walk back up not difficult for able walkers. Room was beautiful and found the guest house to be spotlessly clean. Thoroughly enjoy the picnic basket, various selections to chose from. Will return when we next stay in Whitby.

We stopped over the Bank Holiday weekend as it was our wedding anniversary. The hosts were very welcoming and we we given good advice for meals and what to visit. I liked the spacious rooms with breakfast table and a sitting area. Also had a feature fireplace which was a nice touch. The breakfast was delivered in a basket and was plentiful and varied. Very good all around.

We stayed here for 2 nights during the Folk Festival and really enjoyed our stay. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The fridge was great and was stocked with milk and water. Our breakfast was a real treat, with a generous selection of items available each morning; fresh pastries, fruit, yoghurts, eggs, toast, cereal, juices... Before arriving I thought the price of the stay was quite expensive for a continental breakfast instead of a full English breakfast, but the high standard of the breakfast and room itself made this a good value stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would love to return!

Fantastic stay, host was lovely and knew everything you need to know about Whitby. Very clean and homely room. Breakfast delivered to your door in a wicker basket. Free parking and very quiet room. Only a 10 minute walk into Whitby. Would definitely stop here again if I can get a dog sitter
