We had a very enjoyable week at Hotel Bergsonne in Rigi Kaltbad! Friendly staff, very nice big rrom with a beautiful view. Quiet environment (we slept like babies). If you want to forget your daily busy routine and the noisy city and you love mountains this is the place to be. Jan & Julia Netherlands

Stunning mountain hotel with incredible views. We booked the room with balcony and hot tub and sat and viewed beautiful lake and valley. It is five minute walk from cable car station Rigi Kabalt up a fairly steep hill so would not recommend for people with walking issues. However we are 58 and it isn't particularly hard. Rewards are lovely clean alpine wood hotel, with just the sound of cowbells in the air. Great kind staff who genuinely care. We loved the kind young man who could not have been nicer working the summer months. However all staff were lovely. There is a well stocked honesty bar with reasonbly priced drinks. Make sure you tell the cable car/ cog wheel train office you are staying in Hotel Bergsonne to half your transport fare.

Great location, incredible views, owners fantastic, really friendly. Food in their restaurant akin to a Michelin star. Only negative is charging 12.5 CHF for a bottle of water. Absolutely criminal. Considering exact same water is 1.10 CHF in a shop. Disgusted with that. Defo stay there just don’t get water 😅

Nice mountain hotel 5 min walking distance ( slightly steepy road) from Rigi Kaltbad. Very friendly staff, cozy and clean room. I had the room with a little terasse towards the lake… amazing panorama! Not a lot amenities ( no tv, no coffee maker), but this hotel is about the nature experience! Being a little bit secluded and not reachable by car, logistics is not trivial. Therefore no à la carte menu, but if you are interested, they offer a really with love made 4 couse dinner, that tasted also really good. Nice breakfast buffet. For nature lovers, who appreciate the simple but good things a must!

The most unfriendly place in the world. Had to wait 20min for the check in and were ignored throughout our stay. Very child-unfriendly. We were threatened to pay 100chf extra for our kids which slept in our bed. Horrible place to stay! Pascal is extremely unprofessional and was lying to us. After a day of long hiking when we came in the evening to the restaurant the guy told us that we didn't have a reservation and that there is no ice-cream for our kids available. He complained then about our crying kid that he is too loud and disturbing guests.

Our first day of vacation in Switzerland was spent at Hotel Bergsonne, and it truly set the bar high for hospitality and comfort. The hosts, Andre and Pascal, were incredibly generous and welcoming. It was fascinating to learn that they both live in Mt Rigi, a place with only around 100 residents. Their diverse backgrounds and fluency in multiple languages made us feel at ease, whether we were Swiss or foreign tourists.We did hear that there was new ownership, but nothing concerning that we noticed as this was our first stay here. While many people choose to make a day trip from Rigi to Lucerne, we highly recommend staying at Hotel Bergsonne instead. The unmatched breakfast and hospitality alone make it worth it. Our room was cozy, immaculate, and offered a breathtaking view of the lake. The cabin-like atmosphere added to our enjoyment, and we are already looking forward to returning in the future. Thanks for making us feel at home!

Greeted warmly by Pascal, we are shown into our quaint, authentic and warm room, with a spectacular view. The hotel is remarkably located over the sprawling Lake Luzern. Breathtaking hikes (both easy and advanced) are literally right outside of your door. A personal breakfast, an honor-system refrigerator and super relaxed atmosphere make this gem a return-destination for sure. -Jonathan and Verena

Au vue du prix pour une chambre standard pour 2 nuits CHF 451, on pourrait vraiment s’attendre à une autre prestation. Globalement, on a expérimenté une certaine désorganisation au sein de cet hôtel : personne ne répond à un appel téléphonique, les restaurants conseillés pour le souper le soir étaient fermés, le nettoyage de la chambre après la 1ère nuit avait soit disant été oublié, personne présente à 9h00 le matin pour le petit-déjeuner avec tables pas mises, pas de pain/croissants, pas de fromage, pas de viande, pas de yaourt, quasiment rien… Tout à coup une personne est apparue avec un PC portable à la main bien plus préoccupé par celui-ci que sa clientèle,… Chambre sans télévision, douche sommaire, lavabo dans la chambre, … Bref une offre beaucoup trop chère… Point positif pour terminer: un panorama splendide.
