Quite a spacious room with easy access to everything. Bathroom was very fancy and clean! Short trip to the bar and restaurant, and everything was more than satisfactory.

Room located in the square. Thankfully a nice warm and dry summers evening. Room had a musky smell. Especially around the cupboard. Room was hot. Fan provided but needed windows open. Busy and noisy in the morning with business bin collections. The bed was uncomfortable because you can feel the springs… I woke several times to move position and get comfortable. I decided to get food. Food was good. Service from the waitress excellent. She was handling complaints from another table admirably. Went back, had a shower which was nice and recently renovated it appeared. Next morning went to have a shower which and there was no water. I called the reception and was asked to collect a key for a room in their main building as a solution. I did, the new room was cooler but the bathroom needed renovation… the shower screen above the bath did not stop the water going on the floor and was clearly a long term issue. Upon leaving, I received no apology or asked how the stay was… hence leaving a review here. I tend to not review if the in house staff either resolve or ask for feedback. Due to the shower issue, I arrived 15min late for a work meeting.

I stayed the night here and I stayed in a lot of pub places and this was by far the most superior. Very clean very hygienic bathroom wonderful just was thrilled with the level of cleanliness and amenities. I stayed and had a full English for breakfast and that was super really glad I stayed here. I hope you get a chance to stay here too. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you team at the Rose and Crown.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Rose and Crown and would stay again. Room large and comfortable bed, good shower. Great location, although no parking, but there are several car parks a few mins walk away.

Spent a night here recently, arrived at the pub wanting to check in, staff ignored us as we waited until someone came from back room and checked us in, we had been put in a room in a separate building in the main square, not a problem but quite noisy at night Unfortunately every Saturday is market day and although not the hotels fault, we were woken at 5am by market stall holders shouting and banging outside Comfortable stay but not a good sleep, checked out in the morning and nobody asked if we’d had a good stay, just a thanks for the key! Pleasant enough stay but slightly disappointing

Another really good evening at the Rose & Crown - this time just the two of us taking advantage of the Thursday steak night deal. Great offer - excellent quality sharer cut cooked exactly as requested and to include £25 contribution to a wine of our choice. Lovely atmosphere and Emily looked after us superbly all night.

We stayed at The Rose and Crown, Warwick on a Sunday evening, two years ago, and had an excellent visit. On that occasion the pub was owned by Green King, and we stayed in a nearby building owned by the pub, overlooking Market Place. We have just returned from our second visit to The Rose and Crown, now in the hands of Peach Pubs, and what a mistake that was. Firstly, we arrived at 2:55pm for a 3pm check-in, our room was not ready for nearly and hour. Before being shown to our room, which on this occasion was above the pub itself, we were given a guided tour of the rear of the pub, highlighting the fire escape route and access to the hotel itself when we return later in the evening. This became very relevant much later on. Our room – Room 5 was very large, clean with a comfortable King bed, a single bed plus a fold-up bed. To access this room required negotiating several flights of narrow, twisting stairs. The shower was very much in need of renovation or replacement, the spray from the shower head barely touched the bath, the water falling mostly on to the taps. Eight cartons of Lakeland milk in the room were out of date, dated April 2025. We ate in the pub in the evening, the lunch time menu which had plenty of choice, was replaced by the evening menu, with a very limited menu, mainly Sunday roasts, which they stopped serving at 8pm. The roast dinner was actually okay. The bar stops serving at 9pm on Sundays, 10pm the rest of the week. Following on from this disappointment, we had a couple of drinks in Market Place, which was a very enjoyable experience. The real issue arose when we attempted to access our room in the hotel, around 10:30pm that evening. As was expected, The Rose and Crown pub was in complete darkness, not surprising as it stopped serving at 9pm. We walked around the line of buildings, past The Globe pub, most of which was pretty dark, onto Theatre Street, where fortunately, I managed to find an unmarked open gateway, which led to a set of metal stairs leading up the first floor of an equally unmarked building. I entered a door which was ajar, which led into what appeared to be an employee’s storage area. A second door leading off the is room, led into what I now recognised as our hotel. We will certainly not be staying at this hotel again.
