Breakfasts are nice with plenty to choose from hot or cold & set in a nice seated area. The rooms are always spotless & well presented. The staff are very welcoming & attentive to guests requirements ( I work nights so have a rooms at the end of corridors so no foot fall outside mine) which they always remember. Nadia, Daria & Ann on days always have a smile on their face when checking in & are conversational. Colin, Stephen & Zach on nights give me an early morning greeting when I come back, in the early hours of the morning. Would definitely recommend staying here for a quality night's sleep, access to motorway & town centre amenities."

"We had a wonderful stay at The School House; we were greeted with a very warm welcome by the amusing Garry. Our room was so clean, and the linen smelt so good (I love a bit a fabric conditioner!). There were lots of nice touches like the curtains and lights put on in our room, so we weren't scrabbling around in the dark when we came back later in the evening. Though Andy still managed to fall down some stairs, he is rather clumsy! The breakfast was delicious and home cooked. If we are in the area, we would stay again. Thank you for making our weekend so much fun."

"We arrived just after midnight 17th/18th October and my wife went to the vending machine to get a water (£2.70) which unfortunately wasn't cold. The member of staff was very apologetic even though it was probably a third party machine but then went out of her was to give my wife one of the bottles of water whe had brought to work for herself. So thank you."

"The room is big (designed for a family of four) decorated in nerf theme, kids would love it. All is good but our shower tap is not functioning well, only gives out boiling hot water which we had to use the bath and let the water cool down a bit before we can use a towel to wash. Not the best but image it’s a good place for family with young kids. Walls are thin, we can hear next door running and snoring. Ear plugs ensured a good night sleep :D"

"Located close to Warrington Central station and bus station. The hotel is clean and comfy although if your room is on the railway side there is some train noise. However, there were two things that lets it down. 1) the shower in my room had poor pressure/temperature. 2) I arrived at 9.30pm and the front desk was unmanned. When the receptionist finally arrived she simply gave me the key, no welcome, no explanation how to get to my room. At 8.30 the next day the reception was again unmanned so I couldn’t comment about the shower. In summary, good location, nice room but let down by poor maintenance and ineffective staff."

"Even though we paid in full, we still had to pay an additional £150 deposit through a third party which felt like a scam. We have been told this refund has been processed, but there is no proof or invoice. We didn't get the codes for entry until we called them and pressed for them 15 minutes before arrival, though they reassured us they were automatically sent they couldn't tell us when apart from that it would be before check in at 3pm. The property was really unclean and could do with a serious update. The walls had lots of scrapes and marks, the furniture looked cheap and like it was going to fall apart. There was one pillow per person. The blinds in the roof windows were cheap and folded when pulling down at night time. There was dust and cobwebs, unclean bathroom, the toilet in the ensuite didn't flush properly, extractor fans didn't work, there wasn't a seal on the shower screen over the bathroom so water leaked everywhere, and the place had a funny smell. It wasn't great at all. Would highly recommend to look somewhere else!!"
