Hotel design is outdated because it was built long ago. Some furniture were replaced with new ones but the built in cabinets are still the old ones.

Be aware that many of the photos for the Four Points are actually of the Sheraton which is the sister hotel next door. The address is also for the Sheraton. The Four Points is in a pretty shocking state. The rooms are old and both rooms we looked at smelled so badly of smoke that our clothes stank after being in the room for 5 minutes. Bear in mind I'm a smoker when I say the smell was overwhelming. The room room itself minus the smell was enough to check out. About 15 years ago this would not have been a 3 star hotel. Spent two hours at the desk in the Four Seasons trying to sort it out, then another hour in the Sheraton - and we speak Chinese. Eventually paid an extra 600 a night and changed to the Sheraton next door at the same time as another couple who were not happy. So now having paid for the Four Points and an upgrade to the Sheraton we were in influencer land. If you want to take photos for social media, have travel photography, run between photo ops, live stream or listen to banging music at the beach bar while arranging exactly the same photoshoot as everyone else then this is the place for you. If you want to walk in a straight line without being pushed out the way, run into by people on phones, chill at the beach bar or sleep then it is not. It's full on. We checked out 3 days early. Many thanks to Trip customer services for helping us as we weren't allowed to check out without their help.

Check in counter service in the evening fell below expectations for a property such as Sheraton. It was understaffed with only one Mr Peter at the front desk to handle guest queries & guest check in between 8-9pm. Only after that did I see 2 other staff coming in to station at front desk. Mr Peter's service was also lacklustre although he did give us a late check out due to event road closure closing entry and exit to the peninsula up to 1.30pm. The hotel has seen better days. Fixtures and fittings are worn & dated. Cleanliness is ok, buffet breakfast was ok too. However parking is outdoors and sheltered parking is payable even for hotel guests apparently. Location is towards the quieter end of the peninsula.

Ice room. Good value. Great pool with no one in it. Helpful staff. Right on the beach. Access to whole Sheraton resort.

The stay at the 4points by Sheraton Shenzhou Peninsula was very enjoyable. From Sanya Airport we took the HSR to Shenzhou station and ordered a Didi there to take us to the hotel (~20min). Apparently there is also an Airport shuttle service by the hotel but to my knowledge it isnt free and only goes 2 times a day. Anyways, once there, the check in was quick and convenient. The walk to the room at the east end was quite long (big hotel). The room was quite big, clean and had all necessary equipment, but it is noticeable that everything has come to an age or appeared to be worn out a little. Also the bathroom always smelled a bit „smokey“ and there was also an noticeable smell from the toilet drainage. All in all the room was still satisfying yet it comes at a quite expensive price where you could expect better. The breakfast had many meal choices, but nothing that was over the top. Especially the very limited fruit offer on a tropical island like Hainan was disappointing. For a Trip-5 Star-hotel at this price point it could do better. The outside facilities of the hotel were very nice and relatively well maintained. The big pool was a highlight. Also its location directly at the sea with a big beautiful beach is nice. But yet again the downside is you are not allowed to swim in the sea. Yet always someone was trying to sell some surfing courses, jetski ride or other activities. I understand the safety concern, but as an experienced swimmer with lifeguard training it was a bit ridiculous. Still having a long sunset walk at the beach is amazing. For having dinner, there are a few decent choices in the 1km footwalk vicinity. Some restaurant areas can be reached by walking down the beach. My favorite though was the „Corona-Bar“ directly in front of the hotel, which serves semi-authentic Mexican dishes and nice cocktails. It comes at a higher price point, but if you make the correct food choices it is very delicious. Check out was also quick and comfortable and to summarize, we had an enjoyable stay. I only think for the price you pay there is still some space for little improvements by the hotel.

What a great place on the beach. Beach strolls and glorious sunsets viewed from the iconic Casa Corona was the daily routine. Price to stay was reasonable, service and staff overall good. An amazing swimming pool that was virtually empty the whole time. Spacious rooms and a well equipped gym. With a world class golf course minutes away it was a memorable stay.

We had a very pleasant stay, the hotel is perfectly located at the doorstep of the beach, great swimming pool, nice rooms, good breakfast with choice. The service is top notch, we had a personal assistant called Angelina who was a real angel and was very caring of of needs and was always there to help, a lot of small attentions and care, warmly recommend.

Very good, very suitable for parents and children, there is a swimming pool outside the door, and outside the swimming pool is the beach and the sea. The children had a lot of fun. Butler Chen also prepared souvenirs. The experience was very good

When you open the window in the morning, the white gauze curtain brushes over the embroidered pillow with Li brocade totems, as if whispering to the thousand-year-old Maritime Silk Road. The freshly ground Xinglong coffee in the lobby bar, served with colorful leaf glutinous rice cake, awakens the morning light of the island with a mixture of bitterness and sweetness. I love the coconut grove infinity pool at dusk, when the golden sunset falls to the bottom of the pool, and the waiter hands over the iced coconut with a copper straw, which opens the tropical night with a crisp sound. The night bed service has a hidden secret - shell wind chime souvenirs and handwritten Li song notes, and even the air-conditioning outlet is filled with the faint scent of vanilla orchids. When you step barefoot on the soft silver sand of the exclusive beach, you suddenly feel that the luxury of a five-star hotel is to make every grain of dust surrender to your poetry.

I stayed in three different hotels in Hainan. The cheapest one was the best. The services of the other two hotels were average. The housekeeper Xiao Chen was very good. He added WeChat one day in advance and helped to upgrade the room type for free. Who knows, two people stayed in a family suite. He also prepared small gifts, introduced nearby delicacies, and delayed check-out. In short, he was very considerate and enthusiastic. Good reviews~
