Le Méridien Shimei Bay Beach Resort & Spa

During my recent trip to Wanning, I stayed at two hotels, and Le Meridien truly stood out with its exceptional service, particularly from Angela, their WeChat service representative. Before our check-in, she provided a comprehensive overview of all the hotel's facilities and services. During our stay, she even went above and beyond by upgrading us to the buffet breakfast at Horizon Restaurant. What's more, even after check-out, when we reached out to Angela for an invoice, she responded on the very same day! I will definitely choose Le Meridien again on my next visit to Hainan!

While the hotel is a bit older, the facilities were much better than anticipated, and we were pleasantly surprised that there was no musty smell. The overall environment was excellent, with plenty of family-friendly activities. During our stay, Butler Kim's arrangements were spot-on, and she was very prompt in resolving any issues. She even upgraded our room, and we enjoyed trying the different breakfast options at both restaurants.

Le Méridien truly stands out among all the hotels in Wanning. Our butler, James, provided exceptional service, always responding promptly to our needs. We had such a fantastic experience after our first day that we immediately extended our stay for another night. There's a wide array of family-friendly activities for children, with a packed schedule daily. The beach and the crystal-clear sea are absolutely gorgeous. I've already recommended this hotel to all my friends.

We received a room upgrade to one with a private pool, which was perfect for the kids to splash around in. The hotel is conveniently located very close to Shenzhou Station. The beach is absolutely stunning, and the hotel's infinity pool offers breathtaking ocean views, making for amazing photos. I really appreciate Le Méridien's design style. Even though both are Marriott properties, we chose Le Méridien over the neighboring Westin, and we were so glad we did – the elevators, lobby, corridors leading to the rooms, the beach, and the pools are all incredibly picturesque. The children's play facilities are well-equipped, making it ideal for family trips. You can easily spend an entire day relaxing by the beach or pool without even needing to leave the hotel!

My child and I recently jetted off to Wanning for a vacation, and our stay at Le Méridien Shimei Bay was absolutely incredible! I just had to share our experience. The moment we stepped into the hotel, we were immediately enveloped by its unique tropical beachfront ambiance. Lush greenery, sparkling clear pools, and a soft sandy beach just steps away – my child was instantly captivated by the scenery and absolutely thrilled. We booked a kids' themed family room, and the moment we opened the door, my child cheered and raced inside. The room was wonderfully decorated with a playful vibe. A large children's play tent stood in the corner, packed with educational toys like puzzles, building blocks, and adorable plush animals. My child couldn't wait to dive in and create their own 'little world.' A children's rocking horse was also thoughtfully provided, and my child would sit and sway on it when tired, looking utterly content. The sleeping arrangements were equally considerate: alongside a comfortable king-sized bed, there was a small children's bed adorned with cartoon-printed sheets and duvet covers. My child snuggled in, rolling around with pure delight. Even the bathroom was fully equipped with children's amenities, including small toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers, and bathrobes. Every single detail truly highlighted the hotel's dedication to its little guests. The service here was truly outstanding; the staff's warmth and patience deeply impressed me. During check-in, the front desk attendant not only efficiently assigned our room but also thoughtfully presented my child with a cute little toy, which instantly brought a smile to their face. Throughout our stay, whether we inquired about hotel facilities or local attractions, the staff were always ready with a smile and detailed answers, which was incredibly comforting. The nightly turndown service was also impeccable, with staff tidying up our beds every evening – a truly wonderful and thoughtful touch!

The king room featured an incredibly spacious bed, formed by pushing two beds together, which was perfect for a family of three to comfortably spread out. The room itself was large and equipped with a dehumidifier. We booked a pool-access room, which was super convenient as the pool was literally right outside our door. The kids absolutely loved it, and the pool was cleaned daily. They thoughtfully provided children's bathrobes and slippers. The butler service was excellent, with very prompt responses. Our room was also conveniently located close to the lobby, restaurant, and the beach. For added convenience, the hotel has a convenience store stocked with fruits, snacks, and other necessities. There's also a kids' play area that even our three-year-old thoroughly enjoyed, along with some parent-child activities available.
