Hotel Adapura Wagrain

Great location very close to lifts and busses, nice decor, superb ski lockers, nice modern new building, great pool & spa area. Should have a 5 star review but let down badly by lack of staff, bad attitude of staff especially the manager, they simply don’t care once they have your money ! Food is very poor and repetitive and if like us you are vegetarian then you will struggle ! They could not offer me anything not even some bread as they only have a small amount for everyone and as you need to book daily if you want to eat at 6:30 or 8 the 8 o’clock sitting has little left ! Managers response was to eat outside of hotel where they can cater for vegetarians , thus despite having paid for evening meals! I informed the at checkin and every meal about nut allergy and they brought every time nuts to the table even the packed lunch on departure had a snickers bar ! Are they deliberately doing this ? Wine opened at table by waiter that was clearly not trained as broke the cork in the bottle ! Long waits for drinks at bar mainly down to lack of staff and them leaving bar unmanned while they go out for a fag break Things stolen from spa Children in the adult spa Unsupervised children. Messing about in pool area Essentially it is badly managed !

A really good and cozy hotel and the rooms were very luxury. The stagg was very nice w and good for you in the game and a good boy and the same and the good boy from the best that one and not the good boy and the best that we are in a flow and the same is a team

I have been a little absent in my Tripadvisor reviews recently but I felt compelled to write this one to try and counteract a really negative one below by an account called Travelling Through. Because of that review we nearly didn’t book this hotel and I believe it is a totally unfair representation of this lovely place We booked last minute with Crystal. Transfer time is about 75 minutes - the last bit is via taxi up the mountain and we were dropped at the door. We were delighted to see friendly faces and a beautiful hotel lobby. We were given a glass of Prosecco to enjoy on arrival as we checked in. The hotel has 8 floors- we were on the 7th and it was very quiet. Each corridor has a huge thick door that is closed in the evening so you cannot hear any noise from the staircase/lift area. Our neighbours were quiet and respectful - we had no issues with noise at all during our stay. The bedroom was really lovely- huge king size bed with two separate duvets. Nespresso machine, kettle, mini fridge. Lots of storage space. Really spacious balcony with a view down the valley for us. The bathroom was beautiful- walk in shower, his and hers sinks and a separate toilet area with a door. Evening meals are served in a variety of areas depending on the day and you can choose from a minimum of two every day. You reserve a slot at breakfast. Piazza is the Italian restaurant - massive salads, meats, cheeses etc to start followed by pasta, pizza made fresh throughout the evening. Pura Alm is more traditional Austrian cuisine with a variety of local dishes available and something for everyone. Adasia is obviously Asian food with delicious fresh sushi served first and then lots of options including customised dishes made on the hot grill with ingredients of your choice. There were desserts and fresh bread at all the restaurants plus a good wine list and really lovely attentive severs. The food is mainly self serve but it is really fresh and constantly replenished. You never feel like you are having leftovers. We didn’t get to eat at the Place to Meat restaurant - this is not included in half board but you do get a discount as a hotel guest. Breakfast is another delightful affair with everything you could want- fresh fruit, cereals, smoked salmon, croissants, hot options and made to order omelettes, fried eggs etc. The hotel is 2-3 mins walk from the Grafenberg lifts and a few minutes walk into the town centre. The shuttle buses stop is also very close if you want to use it to travel elsewhere. We opted to get the bus home a couple of times and enjoyed apres ski at the bottom of the flying Mozart lift. The bus takes 4 minutes. There is an amazing post ski snack selection available 3-4.30pm at the hotel with soup, sandwiches, salad and sweet items available. Don’t miss this bit- we only discovered it after 4 days! Really unexpected and a great touch The wellness area is also of very high standard. There is a decent sized pool that opens at 7am

We visited the Italian buffet restaurant at Adapura. The reception staff were so welcoming and friendly. Our server Lukas was excellent and deserves a promotion. Food was great, price was great. The hotel is beautiful and feels brand new.

Top hotel, close to the slopes. Rooms are very good and many facilities (indoor parking, spacious lockers,pool, wellness, sauna’s,four restaurants, 2 bars) And above all (!) hospitality is key inAdapura. ‘Service with a smile’ is the motto of the whole team, from housekeeping, restaurant & bar staff and frontdesk

The hotel is a well thought out hotel but our experience has been spoilt by the disappearance of my necklace from my room. For some reason my dressing gown was removed after 3 days with my necklace in it & a new one put in my room. It was discovered off site in the laundry and returned after I travelled home. The necklace was posted to me but has not arrived after 2 months. I wasn't asked to insure it, and although it is only worth £150 it has sentamental value. I am now told by the hotel that tough it's lost & there is nothing they can do! I feel annoyed as it shouldn't have been removed from my room.
