Alpina Wagrain
"Very nice hotel, good location, great staff, the rooms are very cosy and clean. Very nice to go to the sauna after good ski day. The staff is very helpful and kind. The food was good. Would definitely recommend for families and big groups. Great for kids."
Sporthotel Wagrain
"Probably one of the best ski hotels we have stayed at. Very close to the Grafenberg lifts, probably a 3 minute walk with boots and skis downhill. The hotel is perfectly central to the ski area so you get to ski Wagrain, Flachau, St.Johann and Zauchansee, although Zauchansee is alot to do in one day we found. I couldnt understand why the ski bus doesnt go to Zauchansee from Wagrain as this is a fantastic area with alot of km's of pistes. I did feel the links between Zauchansee and Flachauwinkl could maybe do with a link like the panorama link. Back to the hotel! - The hotel itself is situated in a perfect location, close to the Grafenberg lift, or you can easily get a ski bus to the Flying Mozart lift. The hotel is clean and spacious, always warm and provided lovely breakfasts and dinners. The dinners were to a very high standard and there was lots to choose from. The hotel did put on an afternoon tea I think between 3pm and 5pm where you could have hot meals such as soup and a main, and some cakes. Some things I was disappointed with: Surprised at no coffee! - in my opinion the hotel is better off ditching the soup and main dish, leaving cakes and adding coffee. I'm somewhat surprised as well as there is no coffee facility in your room. I'm thinking there is a reason, such as knowing people would like coffee so get them to pay for it. To the hotel if they read this, please get rid of the soup and main dish, leaving cakes and adding coffee - that would be perfect and is quite common in other hotels. It would probably save you money by not providing the soup and main dishes. I was a little disappointed as we had arrived late, that we had paid for a full day and there was nothing left out for us in the evening - this is usually the case at other hotels. I think it was more of a hit when on our last day at breakfast it seemed they were keen to get rid of us, taking our plates quickly. Check out was at 10am! (very early) and that the maid walked into our room at 9.58am. We went to the reception to ask for a late check out / or pay for a room but there was nothing. It all seemed like you've had your stay now go type of attitude which was a let down on the last day. However, that was our last day and it didnt spoil the hoilday. The rest of the stay was fantastic and theres not much I can say other than the things mentioned above that could improve this hotel. Pros Hotel centrally located near the Grafenberg lift Warm & clean Staff were excellent A great heated boot room with your own locker provided Fantastic food with lots of choice A lovely indoor swimming pool and outdoor, with sauna and steam room A great games room Cons No coffee in the room or coffee making facilities. No coffee provided at tea (please forget the soup and mains and add coffee) Felt a little rushed to get you out of the door on the last day 10am check out is way too early - usually at other hotels its 12pm - please think about changing this"
Hotel Kirchboden by Alpeffect Hotels
"If you are looking for a Genuine Austrian experience, give this Hotel a miss. It has absolutely no Austrian charm or atmosphere at all. Sadly, it's run by Mono Chrome staff, most of whom are from Scandinavia with little or no charm at all. The Dining experience is more canteen like, you have to Q on the stairs until the staff unlock the dining room door! Then stand in another Q for main courses. The staff are not attentive, wandering around pole faced. Some can't take a drinks order in German! The food is acceptable but nothing outstanding. The Spa facilities could be enhanced by the hotel if it provided towels for the Sauna area. The room domestic staff require a good talking too, leaving used drinks glasses for a couple of days in the room doesn't look good. Another thing to note is that no cash payments are accepted. It is certainly in a Quiet part of town , that's for sure. So, if you looking for a Hotel with Zero Austrian atmosphere, no Apres ski, dull, this the place for you!"
Hotel Wagrainerhof
"We were at the Hotel Wagrainerhof in July, the location is really great and the atmosphere is very family-like. The culinary offering was excellent and you always had the choice of three main courses. If you were travelling with children there would also be a special buffet for children. The buffet also has everything a gourmet's heart could desire. The staff are very accommodating and friendly and cater to all wishes. Our personal highlight was definitely the rooftop bar on the 7th floor. A wonderful view and just perfect for relaxing after a hike or to round off a day of wellness in the hotel. A clear recommendation from us, we will definitely come back!"
Goldhirsch Aparthotel
Mariengut - Aparthotel Kramer
"Wonderful apartment with great view, location and equipment, very friendly service . All has a super standard. Natural dam with swimming possibility, a fantastic playground for children and adolescents, contact with mini horses possible. Broad supplies, food in the restaurant in the house a great offer. Pool and playground in the immediate neighborhood. We were skiing there, skibus is only a few minutes away. Summer as winter is a great place for both families and couples and single travelers. We felt very welcome and the time absolutely enjoyed! Very recommendable!"
Hofgut Apartment & Lifestyle Resort Wagrain
"We had very nice time in the hotel Hofgut! The hotel , area and facilities were perfect! Apartment was big and comfortable ! My daughter especially liked the trampolines and the pool with slides! The spa area was great too! Very tasty breakfast and close to the ski lift!"
The Matthew - Copper Lodge
"If you think you want to stay here I would ask them to confirm the number of the room you have booked. I booked a superior suite for four people a year in advance. Two weeks before my travel date they tried to tell me I had booked two connecting double rooms numbers 13 and 17. I had to find somewhere else to stay at short notice in peak skiing season. In my experience these are not honourable people to deal with."
