This place is an absolute nightmare and should not be allowed to operate as a hotel or hostel. The soundproofing is a complete joke — it felt like I was trying to sleep in the middle of a chaotic street market, with people yelling in the hallways all night long. The bathroom was disgusting and completely unusable due to a blocked drain, and the staff couldn’t care less. They did absolutely nothing to help, showing a shocking level of indifference and incompetence. The entire building is filthy, hot, and smells awful. The common areas look like a trash dump — overflowing garbage, swarms of flies, and an unbearable stench coming from the kitchen. The luggage area was a disaster zone, and the laundry space was literally covered in trash. This was not just a bad experience — it was revolting. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Stay away at all costs.

Comfy beds, nice dorms. Great location. People at the reception always try to help you. They should put a lot of more emphasis on cleaning the kitchen, it is full of flies.

Convenient, 5 min walk from Vienna train station Room was clean and quite spacious Only downside for me was the main lights wasn't working so I had to use the bedside lights but overall comfortable stay

Nice hostel with good potential, very modern surroundings, location safe. but the cleanliness is poor due to limited room cleaning. You have to request for room cleaning even if 6 beds in the room have constant stream of people moving in and out (the room is not cleaned between bunk bed stays), and even when they do clean the cleaning only involved emptying the bin, the bathroom and showers are not cleaned for many days in a row, floor not swept, the floor towel has been the same for days. Had a shared kitchen, but no kettle.

Close to bus and train stations, easy to travel to all tourist attractions.

Very convenient location close to Vienna Central Station with many restaurants and shops. Guest rooms and kitchen didn't have any kettles but there's small place for basic cooking, and a lot of common place indoors and outdoors. Self-check with your booking confirmation or ask the staff for help. Many large groups of guests everyday and can be crowded and noisy at night but overall good value for money.

Super close to the train station! Good English of the reception who is flexible and understanding. Big and spacious room. But the cabinet does not really work but all in all everything is safe.

Just here overnight for an early plane, no lockers in the room so had not ideal as if you want a locker they cost between €4-€7 a day unless you use the storage room but it’s better to secure your belongings also made my bed went for a walk and someone was sleeping in my bed.

Booked 4 nights here. Good place to stay if you are looking for just the basic. I'm happy with what was provided. Spacious room too. Location is close to station and shops. As this place caters to large groups, there were a few tour bus for high schools but I think noise was manageable (it doesn't really bother me, so if noise is sth particular for you then maybe you would like to reconsider. But for the price, it's okay for me.

A&O Hostel is a chain hostel and this one is located 7 minutes' away from the Vienna main train station. The location is perfect for those who arrive and leave Vienna by train. There are a number of bus lines and a metro line. The price is reasonable and it is very popular among schools. You may find a lot of school kids and this may cause a noisy environment. The service was slow and the computer system sometimes didn't work properly. Whenever you seek help from the reception, there is always a long line. On the room, you don't have your own locker to lock up your things. The cleanliness is acceptable. There are some better hostels if you are willing to pay a few more euros or travel a longer distance.

I arrived not expecting too much given the very low price for Vienna and the area even if it was a hostel the shared room was clean and with a bathroom only in the room I found myself sleeping with very nice people the refreshment area remains open all night where they have draft beer and also pizza as well as vending machines everywhere that sell many products there is always someone from security stationed at the reception as well as the staff I was very satisfied with the experience and the convenience of the train and the metro in front
