On the positive side, staff very friendly and try their best to accommodate the guests. Our pick up from the airport worked out well. We were in contact with Giocomo and he looked after our needs very well. English speaking staff at the reception and the rest only Italian. Room was clean. We paid extra for a room with sea view which was only partial. On the negative side: Interior decor doesn’t appear to have changed since the inception. Restaurant and breakfast room resemble a bus station with plastic chairs and tables. There isn’t a single chair in the lobby area where one could sit. The blue velvet covered chairs are only pieces of decoration. Breakfast was really sub standard. Scrambled eggs swimming in liquid. Only UHT full cream available. Cappuccino at breakfast had to be paid extra. Fresh fruit were not ripe and inedible. Almost every day there were canned fruit on the breakfast buffet. In Italy in June where there’s an abundance of fresh fruit! This hotel seems to cater to big groups.

Hotel room dated but clean. Juliet balcony overlooking the pool and a side view of the coast. Beds comfortable but bathroom circa 1960's. No plug in bedroom 297 so had to recharge using shaver point over the bidet. Shower arrangement not good and hairdryer one of those elephant trunk units, not seen since the 70's. The Hotel has no Bar but a small arrangement in the corner of the Breakfast Room. No drinks menu anywhere. Only aware of cost on receipt of room bill on day 7. Pool given over to non-resident locals on Sunday with towels being used to reserve sunlounges before the pool was opened to residents. Half board evening meals very basic. Resorted to eating out across the road at Tito's (fantastic authentic food with a proper drinks menu). Not a 4 star by any imagination.

Unser Aufenthalt im Hotel Aequa war rundum gelungen – ein echtes Highlight an der Amalfiküste! Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den hervorragenden Service von Giacomo und Augustino, die sich mit großer Freundlichkeit und absoluter Zuverlässigkeit um die Organisation von Taxis und Transfers gekümmert haben. Egal ob kurzfristige Fahrten oder spezielle Wünsche – alles lief reibungslos und entspannt dank ihres Einsatzes. Vielen Dank dafür! Das Hotel selbst ist wunderschön gelegen: Beim Frühstück draußen auf der Terrasse genießt man einen herrlichen Blick auf das Meer und den Vesuv – ein unvergesslicher Start in den Tag. Das Service-Team beim Frühstück und am Pool war jederzeit aufmerksam, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch am Pool lässt es sich wunderbar entspannen – die Anlage ist gepflegt, ruhig und sehr sauber. Überhaupt war die Sauberkeit im gesamten Hotel – ob Zimmer, öffentliche Bereiche oder Außenanlagen – tadellos. Nicht zuletzt überzeugt auch das hoteleigene Restaurant mit exzellenter regionaler Küche, frischen Zutaten und authentischen Gerichten Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt – und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

My daughter and I stayed here for 6 days in May and enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is just a short walk from the bus and train stations, which made it easy to get to Pompeii and Sorrento. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was nice, the included breakfast was very good and the location within the town made it easy to walk around and visit the shops.

What friendly, helpful, kind and professional staff - this hotel is very well managed - at all times we felt properly taken care of. All on reception excellent but Agostino especially helpful and always with a smile. Very clean hotel. Views spectacular. Big pool. Quiet and peaceful. Dinner excellent too. Would recommend sea view rooms with balcony on third floor. Lovely town also. Try Pizzeria da Franco - first rate.

The hotel is situated in a lovely part of Vico Equense, our room overlooked the sea and Mount Versovius. It was clean and comfortable. There was a good choice of food for breakfast. Giacomo was lovely, he helped book our trips and found us the times of trains to different places .The pool and grounds are fabulous .All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
