Residence Ca' Foscolo

We stayed here in early June for 2 nights before a cruise out of Ravena. The location was unbelievable very walkable to many of the things we wanted to do. We upgraded to a canal view apartment. So convienent. We loved having a separate bedoom and kitchen area as we were traveling as a family. Unit had a washer/dryer. Would definelty stay again if in Venice. We were highly satisfied.

We had a Family Suite for our family of four. Our boys are 10 and 12. The location was central and easy to walk everywhere with a lot of food options very close by. But also without being near the crowds so it was quiet. The rooms were both sizeable (extremely so for Europe) and comfortable with their own bathrooms and a separate kitchen and living area. The kitchen was even stocked with snacks and coffee. There were unseasonably warm temps for our stay, but the air conditioning was sufficient, I wouldn't say chilly though. The staff was helpful and all went smoothly for our stay. We paid extra to take the water taxi to and from the airport directly to the hotel, which worked great as getting through the alleys and bridges with even carryon bags is a bit tough for kids. They have hair dryers, but not very powerful and only a handful of the channels on the TV worked. Only one occasionally was in English, but we were in Venice so who cares about that anyway! Would stay again!

We absolutely loved the apartment. The staff was SUUPER NICE. There are plenty of GREAT restaurants nearby, as well as main attractions like the Piazza San Marco, Rialto bridge and others. At times I felt so comfortable that I just wanted to stay in the apartment instead of exploring the town. It is super quiet in the evening. Basically, if we ever go back to Venice I will stay here again. The ONLY minor issues is that there were no elevators or "nice" views from our apartment, but that didnt bother us. Other than that SUPER highly recommended! Tips: Please make sure you read the check-in instructions, the receptionist is there until around 2pm, which for us was not an issue because we arrived around noon, and they let us check in ahead of time which was great. We arrived from Milan by train, and took the water taxi right outside of the train station which cost us $90 euros. The water taxi dropped us right in front of the apartment entrance. However, if you want to save some money, take the vaporetto (public boat) to the Realto station outside of the train station. Once you arrive at the Rialto stop, it is about a 10 minute easy walk. Google Maps will take you there, I honestly wish I would have done that (they provided GREAT INSTRUCTIONS). If you take the vaporetto, you need to go through 2 small bridges with stairs before you get to the apartment, but they are not that bad. I think the vaporetto from the train station to the Rialto bridge is about $9 euros per person.

Beautiful stay. The room offered so many options, coffee, cereal, bread, cakes. Great stay. Would highly recommend.
