📍 Vlamari 39, Vathi
★★★ 8.4 (23 reviews)

"Our room was on the sea side with a view of the sea in the far distance. The room was simple and clean with a good comfortable double bed with plenty of pillows, a table and chair, bathroom with shower, small fridge , balcony with a table and 2 chairs and a good working air conditioner. We had a rental car and could park it very near the hotel for free. The hotel is located in a neighborhood between the local Samos residents. We enjoy that. walking distance to the old town and the harbor with plenty of restaurants and shops. The friendly service and Greek hospitality is what makes this hotel special."

"No iomplaints, lovely place to stay and Nancy was a terrific host. The view was not to be forgotten. Room fine , slept far too well and again no complaints but the fact it was out of season made the whole experience a tad quiet. The Ouzo is to be avoided though and in sure lovely Nancy knows what I mean. Never done a Greejk island before and Samos was truly fantastic History and history just wow. "When arriving at Semeli boutique hotel a very warm welcome was given by the friendly and hospitable staff and owners. The hotel has an amazing architectural style and very comfortable rooms, furnished with natural products, oak and teak, a floor with large quarried stones. From the balcony with view to the Aegean Sea and Tsamadou bay, surrounded by the astonishing nature, one can experience a beautiful sunrise causing an immediate feeling of calm, well being and harmony in a relaxed atmosphere. After the delicious and copious breakfast, one is completely ready to continue a wonderful day with many beauty to explore and experience on a magical island! I can recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Samos and seeking comfort, beautiful nature, peace and serenity..."

Armonia Bay Hotel

Armonia Bay Hotel

📍 Tsamadou beach, Kokkari, Vathi
★★★★ 9.5 (20 reviews)

"My husband and I enjoyed the most wonderful week at Armonia Bay Hotel which I have renamed (Tranquility Bay) as it was so peaceful and tranquil. We were greeted by Ari and Alex (dad and son). The breakfast was sumptious. Something for everyone and Eleni and Efi did a wonderful job, especially when the hotel was full. I must compliment the chef, as she made the most wonderful eggs with feta cheese. The staff worked very hard especially at breakfast. Alex and Fortis also helped out. Evening meals at Armonia Bay were also very enjoyable and Mario was on duty and very helpful in making recommendation. The kitchen is closed on Friday evenings, so you have to make alternative arrangements. Also, it helps if you could make a booking for dinner, so Chef knows how many covers she will be called upon to make. Overall, wonderful views, wonderful staff in beautiful surroundings. The pool was glorious and inviting on a hot day. The views are lovely overlooking the bay. They are a number of restaurants on the beach, providing music and also a swimming pool. The centre of Kokkari is a 20 minute walk. It's ok during the day, but not advisable night time. Sophie's travel in the centre provided us with information regarding the buses, and armed with this, we were able to travel to Samos Town and beyond, as taxi fares are very expensive. The No.3 bus does a loop to Tsamadou beach, and then onto Samos. Fares to Samos are 3.60Eur for 2 to Samos. Taxi fares are 22 Euros to Samos Town. You could also get the bus in the centre at St Nicholas Church, which takes you to Samos, where they are a number of buses to various parts of the Island. There is a bus timetable in reception, but the bus doesn't arrive at those times, and doesn't stop outside Armonia Bay hotel, and as I said earlier, you need to go to Tsamadou beach. The bus sometimes goes pass Armonia Bay Hotel from Samos Town and you need to check with the driver. They are a number of restaurants in the centre, mostly on the seafront. they are also some away from the seafront. We found Samia restaurant gave us everything we needed, and it became our favourite in the centre of Kokkari. The staff and owner were very welcoming. In Samos Town we had lunch and dinner at Zen restaurant, and here again it was great. It was truly a memorable week, as it was very relaxing. Most of the staff were there to say goodbye, including Eleni, Alex, Fortis and Ari. It's somewhere that I would definite recommend, if you ae looking for a a quiet place for a holiday. I will definitely return to Armonia Bay Hotel in the future. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!"

📍 Σαμίων Αγωνιστών 69, Kalami, Vathi
★★★ 9.0 (40 reviews)

"My sister and I have just returned from 10 days here. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel, and the staff, whom worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect. The location, being in the hills, was so peaceful, on many occasions we had the pool to ourselves, and it felt more like a wellness retreat. Breakfast was included and the choice was vast. Lunch and dinner could be taken on the terrace, overlooking the sea, and was beautifully present and tasty. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The room we had was large, with a great view of the sea and was serviced daily. Toiletries were included. Our highest review, however, goes to Yiannis, the manager. He was nothing short of brilliant, he was always there, helping us, nothing was too much trouble, and anything we asked for was provided immediately. Yiannis, went over and above on every occasion. We will definitely be returning next year."

Saint Nicholas Hotel Samos Hotels in Vathi

Saint Nicholas Hotel Samos

"We've been to many islands, in various months and seasons, but nowhere have we encountered rooms as cold as here. May is a beautiful month, full of fragrance and bloom, and that's why my family and I decided it was worth visiting this exceptionally green island! Unfortunately, not every resort is equipped to accommodate guests at this time of year. The lack of heating (even an air conditioner set to "heat") was a real pain, especially at night when the temperature dropped to 10 degrees Celsius. This meant the rooms were cold, and our towels were damp in the morning after an evening shower. Talking to the staff, who considered the property a typical vacation resort, was fruitless. This was all the more surprising to us because, whether in Turkey, Tunisia, Madeira, or the Canary Islands, no one refused to help us in this regard and provided appropriate solutions. This wasn't the case here. There were extra duvets and blankets and a multitude of additional dos and don'ts! On the day of departure, it turned out that, despite the transfer from the resort at 4 PM, departing guests were not entitled to any meals other than breakfast. Honestly, this is the first time we've encountered a situation where, according to prevailing standards, a stay at a resort should end with a meal chronologically preceding the first meal served on arrival (in our case, it was dinner). Nearby Turkey offers an example of a different type of "hospitality" that deserves recognition. Both the staff and management of tourist facilities go above and beyond to ensure that tourists' stays are so enjoyable that they want to return, recommending the facilities they've tried to their friends. In Tyrian resorts, the stay always ends with the last meal, even if it's a very early breakfast. Everything is included in the price of the stay, and there are no extra charges (this, of course, does not apply to services beyond the scope of the purchased package). Returning to our stay at Saint Nicholas on the island of Samos, the approach to tourist service is somewhat different. The resort staff, aware that the group's departure transfer was scheduled for 4 PM, offered guests the option of purchasing lunch for a nominal fee of €20 per person. Those wishing to have late checkout can also take advantage of the additional option for just €30. In short, a family of four who don't want to wait five hours outside the hotel (regardless of their package) to enjoy their stay should be prepared to pay an additional €110. Special thanks go to the cleaning staff, who went above and beyond in carrying out their duties. However, this is definitely not enough for me to give a much better rating and review. I'm certain that if the owners of this resort traveled to any corner of our beautiful world and encountered so many shortcomings, prohibitions, and restrictions, their enjoyment of a successful family vacation would be severely questioned and disappointed! The island itself is unique and worth seeing an"

"Greece is a beautiful place to visit. We took our grandson for his first trip without his parents and had planned this trip for a year. But this holiday turned into a nightmare for him. The first problem we encountered was when he tired to join in with the animation team in the pool. He was told he was too young to join in with waterpolo which was fine but the next day we saw younger children waiting to play so he went to ask if he could join in. To my amazement he came back to us saying that they had told him he couldn’t play because he was ENGLISH. I was flabbergasted and waited until the animation staff member came over to me as I was standing in the pool to watch him play. He then said that he couldn’t play because he was ENGLISH. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and told him to stop right there and walked away. I informed the rep and the hotel manager and staff assured me that It would be taken care of. We waited for the man whom had made the comment to apologise but when he came over he more or less told me that I was a lair and I had made his colleagues hate him. The animation team then started to translate somethings in English as they hadn’t bothered before. We also noticed that all the English had bright orange wristbands on and the French had silver, and Polish had blue. This meant we had been colour coded so the animation team could tell which country we came from. They would talk to everyone apart from us that were English. I wasn’t the only one who had noticed this and several English people had had problems too. I think this is appallingly, we try to bring our grandson who is 10 years old to respect other people weather their are French Polish, Greek or any other nationality. The food was the same every day but you could make some sort of meal, my grandson had pizza and chips for lunch and dinner every day! The hotel is not a 4 star in my opinion, more like a 3. It has lots of cobwebs in the food areas and birds frequently fly around while we were eating."

Virginia Hotel ★★★
"This is an absolutely super hotel, really (really!) well run by the the exceptionally friendly and helpful Fontini and her team. It’s just a bit uphill from the sea front at Samos/Vathi – say a leisurely eight minutes’ walk down to the sea and the main square, and perhaps twelve minutes on the way back up. The building is stylish and well-appointed. A small lift gets you as far as floor three, with the top floor a further staircase up. The place is kept impeccably clean – communal areas and rooms (with daily room servicing). A highlight is the roof pool area accessed from the third floor – with a small but perfectly useable pool (good for a few strokes per length, and, of course, cooling refreshment), sun beds, a shower and an outstanding view over the town and bay. The ground floor houses reception (from which you will always receive a friendly greeting whenever you pass), the breakfast area (breakfasts looked super, but I didn’t indulge), and a bar and terrace. I was welcomed ahead of my formal check-in time and allowed to leave my bags behind reception and use the pool; likewise after check-out on the day of departure. When I visit Samos again (and I sincerely hope I will), The Virginia Hotel will be my first choice."

Samos Bay Hotel by Gagou Beach ★★★
"I chose this hotel because of the breakfast and sunbeds at the pictures of ***********. When we arrived we learnt that hotel doesn’t have sunbeds anymore, there’s a misleading information at the ***********!!! Also there’s smell of sewage. Room is old, bottom of the bathroom sink is damaged. There were no soap in the room when we arrived. I’m really disappointed by this hotel and *********** for misleading info about this hotel. Moreover the clothing rack for bathing suits is broken. It’s a shame this hotel is being still advertised. Breakfast was awful. No smiling faces at the reception. Although I warned *********** of misleading information about sunbeds at their website on August 28, they're still keeping those photos as of today(September 7, 2023). I wrote hotel's condition while we were there but they replied "no compensation could be provided". I didn't ask for compensation!!! I wrote about misleading information. They turned blind eye. "

Armonia Bay Hotel ★★★★
"My sister and I had the absolute pleasure of staying in the Armonia for a week and it definitely ticked all the boxes. From the moment you arrive you immediately relax…the incredible view, hotel ambience and very welcoming staff ensure your checkin experience is positive. Our rooms were nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. We were very impressed with the restaurant…breakfasts were delicious and the lunch/dinner choices are all great. Admittedly the lunch/dinner menus are quite limited (as you would expect from a small hotel) but there are many restaurants nearby to experience. We found the tranquil location to be perfect and having a car allowed us to explore the island. The pool is fabulous but if you feel like a dip in the ocean, it is only a few minute walk to a lovely beach with beach club. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and very happy to meet all our needs. I can highly recommend this family owned hotel and would absolutely return in a heartbeat. Thanks Alex, Helene and Marius for an unforgettable week."

"Friendly and spotlessly clean hotel. Perfect stay in the centre of Kokkari. Boutique feel to the decor. Rooms were small but well equipped for storage and also free air con. Breakfast was just right. We visited the sister hotel and used the pool and bar, which was very good but preferred the Kalidon Beach hotel for its proximity to the town/beach."
