The location is good and the hotel is just fine. Need some renovation around the path leading to beach. Many opt for this location for ease of access to beaches, if that is not maintained it will lead to disappointment.
The SPA is not per the expectation and the maintenance of the spa is very bad. Food is above average. The buffet breakfast is fine but lacks variety for those staying longer. Overall it was a good experience. The attender at the pool Mr. Babu is very good, he should be awarded for his fine service. Overall the hotel staff are polite and well mannered and hear to our concerns.

Excellent Hotel with excellent services. The managers and staffs kept us very comfortable and most importantly accommodated to our toddlers meals during the stay. Very beautiful view as very peaceful hotel!

property is under renovation
unlike other taj properties the amenities the rooms and even the breakfast was bit disappointing nothing special was there which keep them ahead of a normal hotel
the only thing which kept apart was the staff response was very prompt and they were very helpfull

My stay at Gateway Varkala was a great experience. The hospitality was one of the best I have experienced. The location is adequately positioned in a quiet and serene spot yet just walking distance away from the beach and 5 mins drive away from other getaway spots. The breafast buffet had limited items but the taste and quality was good. Rooms were very spacious. Overall an awesome experience. Worth visiting again!

First, both the restaurant and reception were under maintenance during my visit, which made the overall experience less convenient. Additionally, the swimming pool was missing tubes, and when I requested some, I was informed that they had been ordered but were not available during my stay.
Furthermore, the furniture in my room was quite old and didn’t meet the high standards I expected from a Taj property. The room’s overall condition did not reflect the luxury I anticipated, and the value for money was not what I had hoped for.
