Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel

A lovely overnight stay at the Cwrt Bleddyn after a friend’s local party.Very pleased to stay in the main hotel rather than the annexe where I had stayed before . Bed was really comfortable and the hotel was quiet. We took advantage of the swimming pool and Rajesh on the welcome desk of the swimming pool/ gym was so very helpful. Thank you Rajesh! We will definitely return.

I visited this spa on Saturday, 30th August 2025, hoping for a relaxing day — but unfortunately, it was anything but. From the moment we arrived, several issues made the experience uncomfortable and at times unsafe: The poolside tiles were extremely slippery. I nearly fell more than once, and there were no warning signs. Much of the furniture around the pool was old and damaged. Some pieces were broken but still left out for use. My friend, who has chronic back pain, had called ahead to check if the spa was suitable. She was reassured it was — yet ended up sitting on a hard plastic chair all day. There was a leak in the roof dripping onto the floor, again with no signage or barriers. The steam room wasn’t working when we arrived, and the hot tub stayed cold until the final hour of our visit. Our food arrived 40 minutes late, served in takeaway containers. We were told there was no plastic cutlery available and had to eat with our hands. After our treatments, the pool area became overcrowded with children, making it impossible to swim or relax. The showers were cold, so we had to go home without rinsing off properly. Many of the cushioned loungers were ripped, and no slippers were provided — which is usually standard at most spas. Overall, the experience felt chaotic and poorly maintained. What should have been a peaceful day turned into a frustrating one. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously, as the potential is there — but the execution was far below expectations.

I get the place is picturesque and has a history but as a hotel in the current market it needs quite a lot of tidying up. Been a few times over the year and every room looks a little tired and need of an overhaul. Management checks need to be introduced as the room I recently stayed in didn’t have a plug in the bathroom sink and a dirty cloth was left on the window sill. That said the rooms are never dirty so it’s just an oversight. The rooms are generally clean but very tired. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of storage space and the rooms don’t feel cramped. Painting and decorating needs attention. Water pressure a little poor, especially in the showers and general maintenance of the bathrooms would t go a miss. WiFi that works and decent TVs would also make stays a little more comfortable. Public areas all seem good, have been to bar but not had food there. Spa and pool are adequate and never seem over busy. Staff generally friendly and helpful which is a huge bonus
