Great location (though I regretted not booking the Hilton doubletree around the corner). Feels more like an Airbnb serviced by a hotel. Checkin process was confusing (had to go to a different hotel - hotel said we got instructions but we checked and had nothing from them). We got great restaurant recommendations from the front desk attendant. The coffee in the room is not free - they charge a euro for each capsule. Who does that these days? We paid for breakfast as part of our stay. Breakfast was ok but very weak compared to most places at this price we have stayed at. The coffee (as per of breakfast) was wonderful. Parking was cumbersome - we had to park in a nearby garage which was a good 10 minute walk away. Overall a solid experience but we expected more given price and alternatives in Trieste. Trieste itself was marvelous especially miramare castle

Perfect for a city centre situation, this hotel is under the management of another hotel, the continental. Actually this hotel offers just the rooms ( all suites) in another building. A very nice setting. Parking service is under the responsibility of a valet company. Access to the hotel is not easy as the hotel is situated in a walking street. The apartment was very nice and has all amenities. A surprise with a jacuzzi bathtube. Air conditioning is average(old system + a window not closing perfectly). The building architecture is beautiful and there is a terrace all around the building for the apartment. Breakfast and reception in the other hotel. Very nice setting with waiter service. Not buffet. Globally worth the expense.

Palazzo magnifico in posizione fantastica. Un bell'appartamento in cui si potrebbe dedicare più cura ai dettagli. Es: 1) capsule per il caffè a pagamento per la macchinetta in cucina al costo di un euro l'una; 2) capsule per lavastoviglie: solo 1 capsula in dotazione a fronte di un soggiorno di 2 gg; 3) 3 piatti da dolce nelle stoviglie in cucina ma a fronte di 4 ospiti; 4) maniglia doccia non perfettamente funzionante

Don’t stay here
There was terrible service and the attendants at the check in counter barely spoke English. Also there was no shuttle service to the hotel. There was no communication telling us to checkin at a different hotel than the one we were staying it. Not worth the money at all…

The staff was friendly and the property is in a great location. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room however had some issues, such as the phone never worked, the fridge door did not close and some items, like a wine bottle opener not available.

You must go to the Hotel Continentale to check in. This wasn’t clear, fortunately we stumbled on a guest being escorted to the Palace and figured it out. The Palace Suite is secured and you need your room and entry door key. The call boxes do not work. We were serenaded by some rowdy sports fans at 1am. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a good choice.
