"If there is still a piece of Heaven on earth, it’s in this place. Green, peaceful, charming with the vibe of the most natural place to be. I have spent a week there and extremely enjoyed. Wi-Fi was great allowing me to perform global webcast with no issues. Hammock, baldachin, lovely towel swans and air conditioned room took my heart away. It’s on a walking distance from the main restaurant area and less than 5min from the beach. Hospitality was great and I hope I’ll be able to go there again!"

"Our stay was really relaxing, exactly what we needed. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. The location is brilliant, very close to the sea and a 3 minutes walk from what in our opinion is the best beach club there, namely Ze Barbudo. It is not walking distance from the famous Quadrado though (excellent area full of nice restaurants), but a simple 5 minutes drive. On the things which can be improved, the hotel needs a bit of freshing up. Some of the sunbeds for example require replacement. In summary, some basic maintenance as you would do in every hotel. The breakfast is well served and offers nice healthy local options (like Tapioca). The best was no doubt waking up in the morning to the sounds of nature (tons of birds of all colours) and with plenty of sunshine, looking forward to a day at the beach."

"I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Vila São João . From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly welcome. A special mention goes to the girls at breakfast and at the reception — they were incredibly attentive, kind, and thoughtful, always paying attention to the smallest details and making sure everything was perfect. The accommodation itself was very nice, comfortable, and well cared for. The facilities are good and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is charming and relaxing. On top of that, the location is excellent, making it easy to enjoy the area. I truly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again. An outstanding experience from start to finish!"

"An absolutely beautiful pousada with stunning views, super comfortable room and a breakfast out of this world. Patricia and Oriana were a pleasure to get to know and were so kind to us. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The pousada is perfectly situated near the Quadrado but far enough away not to be bothered by it. It can’t be beaten. "

"I'm not used to write reviews because my experience is usually similar to other Tripadvisor reviews but this time it was not the case. I didn't choose this place because of the negative reviews. I was alarmed, but it was a holiday and I had no way to make another guest. The suite was large, clean and beautiful with balcony, red, bath products, and many bathrooms.It is not a place to cook but has a freezer.The property was clean, breakfast was excellent and varied with eggs and tapioca made at the time. I found the staff very careful and sympathetic, the only bitches I found were two ugly and educated dogs, I didn't ask you to clean my suite as soon as I could comment on it, the hostel is 5 minutes walk from the indigenous beach. It doesn't give you a walk to the square, you have to go by car for five minutes, but in Trancoso you don't get to stay in one place and walk to the beach and the square because a side separates both. I decided I prefer to stay on the beach and I didn't regret it, so if I want to stay near the beach, I recommend it to be a property."

"The hotel is a wonderful, cozy and safe place... very well served breakfast and perfect cleaning! We were received by the lady Lu, which was very receptive every day we were hosted. Around 20 minutes from the square but from to walk quietly without tired, you have bakery, market, pharmacy, hortifruti and ice cream very close to the hostel."

I woke up in the middle of the night with unbearable itching, and when I turned on the light, I discovered that the bed was infested with insects, both alive and dead. We immediately tried to ask for help, but no one at the inn responded until 8 AM. No one assisted us, so we had no choice but to move the bed and try to sleep on towels on the floor. A hug to evily who showed us the cashew and cocoa fruits typical of there and the music. Food and cocktails were delicious, again, great attention to detail. A truly special getaway! So lucky to have experienced it!"

"The hostel does not really have a lot of structure, pool or good leisure area, the owner has tried with some networks, but, in my opinion, if vc is in the intention of relaxing in the hostel, it is not the best option. It is a place for you to spend the night and go to the locked courtyard. Even so, it is a hostel with a very good benefit cost. All very clean and organized, tasty breakfast, especially egg and tapioca made at the time. Very nice officials and is close to the square."
