"The facilities are pretty good, and there aren't many other options around, but it's really expensive. The afternoon tea wasn't generous – just apple juice and cider. Dinner was good, but for a family with small appetites, it was just okay. We definitely went for a hot spring bath, so we didn't even use the bathroom in the room."

The room facilities are quite new and modern, so it doesn't feel old-fashioned at all. The mattress was especially soft and comfortable. There's also a small indoor bath in the common area. The only downside was the breakfast, which was quite simple – just toast and salad. It would have been perfect if the food matched the quality of the stay."

"Because I temporarily changed to stay one night at Lake Towada and walk the Oirase Stream the next day, the hotel was fully booked. I found this backpacker hotel with high ratings and quickly booked it to give it a try. The double room with twin beds is clean and tidy. Although the public restroom does not have shower facilities, you can take a hot spring bath in the hot spring hotel next to it for 25 RMB, and there is also an outdoor room, which is great value for money!"

"It takes about an hour's drive from Oirase Gorge and Sukayu Onsen. For dinner, we had a refreshing meal of horse meat jingisukan (grilled lamb). The hot spring water was very alkaline, and it made my skin incredibly smooth. I was surprised to find that even the water coming out of the tap contained hot spring components. There were many day-trippers from the morning. There was a coin laundry on the premises, which was very helpful as I was able to do laundry once during my 2-night, 3-day trip."

"The service attitude is very poor, not like in Japan. His speech was all in a commanding tone. Around 6 in the evening, the entire building turned off the lights and locked the doors without informing them in advance. There was no one at the front desk, so I couldn't go out for dinner. I was really shocked. The hygiene is average, there is dust and hair, and the location is not very good. It is far away from Lake Towada. It feels like marching with the suitcase."
Yachi Onsen
"An old Japanese Inn, with 2 hot springs. Onsen is great, the food is nice. My room is on the 2nd floor so I need to carry my luggage up the stair. That's alright if the luggage is not bigger than 24 inch else you have an issue to lift it up. The wooden building caused noises when other guests walking along the corridor. I had my ear plug that's OK. Overall I had an enjoyable experience staying at Yachi Onsen and I love the rustic look onsen made with cedar woods. I will definitely stay her again the next time."
