This guesthouse exudes cultural charm, having been thoughtfully converted from an old house. However, the biggest issue is its lack of practicality. As an accommodation, guest convenience and functionality should always be the priority. For instance, the vanity area, while beautifully decorated, has an overhead light that isn't directly above the sink. The mirror is also about a meter away, tucked into a corner, which means you can only get a vague reflection. It's impossible to see details, so forget about checking for blemishes or plucking white hairs. The shower stall is incredibly spacious, yet there's no caddy or shelf for toiletries, forcing you to place them on the floor outside the shower. There's no television in the room. The soundproofing for rooms located on the first floor near the entrance is abysmal – it's almost like having no door at all.

The accommodation was very comfortable. For breakfast, they offered three kinds of noodles, all very delicious, giving us a real taste of local cuisine. The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful; she even recommended some excellent restaurants. We were thoroughly pleased with our trip to Tongren.

The location of this guesthouse is absolutely fantastic. It's just dozens of meters in from the bridge near the main Zhongnan Gate, making it super convenient for exploring the scenic area. We arrived in the evening, dropped off our luggage, and then went out for a stroll and dinner. According to the friendly staff at the front desk, this guesthouse was converted from a landlord's traditional courtyard estate. It has over thirty rooms in total. The environment is quite pleasant, and it has a wonderful atmospheric charm. However, there are quite a lot of mosquitoes in the summer, so they should really provide more mosquito repellent. (Note: The windows face the corridor, but the upper section can be opened.)

The hotel is ideally located, just 100 meters from the ancient town's main entrance and parking lot. This prime spot makes it perfect for exploring the ancient town and enjoying its beautiful night views. For dining, Wuxian Temple is just a short walk across a bridge. Overall, it offers fantastic convenience and excellent quality. Without a doubt, this is the best guesthouse/B&B I've stayed at in any scenic area during my entire trip to Guizhou.

Love this place 😘. Everything that I ever wanted to live in an ancient town, this place has ALL to offer. The basement mall is just outside the ancient city where shopping and food malls even a large sized supermarket are all within reach. Matcha cafe is also just 2 minutes walk away from the hotel. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. Will come again. Love Tongren!

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The only minor drawback was the creaky wooden floor. This is a charming guesthouse, and the overall experience was excellent. The tea and wine room offered a warm and elegant ambiance.

The guesthouse is ideally located, just a short walk past Zhongnan Gate. The surroundings are pleasant, the courtyard garden is beautiful, and the rooms are quite spacious. However, it's a case of style over substance, with numerous poorly thought-out design choices in the room. Firstly, the soundproofing is terrible. We could clearly hear conversations and phone videos from the next room; it felt like we were sharing the same space, almost as if there was no sound insulation whatsoever. Secondly, the room lighting is dim, lacking a main overhead light, and the bathroom was also poorly lit with no light above the mirror. The entire room only had two power outlets, both located by the bedside tables, with no other outlets available anywhere else. Overall, the reality of the stay fell far short of its attractive presentation.

The B&B has a fantastic vibe and is quite charmingly tucked away within the ancient town. Each small courtyard is accessed via a short flight of stairs, leading to another, creating a beautifully staggered and harmonious layout. The wooden architecture exudes a wonderful vintage charm.

However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks: first, the soundproofing isn't great, possibly due to the building's architectural style or other factors. Second, in the evenings, food delivery apps indicated that they don't deliver to this specific area.

I stumbled upon this amazing guesthouse on Xiaohongshu! It's located right in Tongren Ancient City, super close to the shopping center, and you'll find an abundance of local specialty snacks nearby. I absolutely loved the guesthouse's quaint decor. The staff member was incredibly attentive and even helped me with my luggage. Definitely highly recommend it!

The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive; check-in was quick and efficient. They proactively offered information on the hotel's facilities and nearby attractions. The bell staff provided full assistance with our luggage, and their attention to detail was a thoughtful touch. Cleanliness: The entire place was impeccably clean. The bedding was soft and comfortable, with no missed spots. Facilities: The room was well-equipped with a smart toilet, an HD TV, and a mini-bar. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation design, although the shower water pressure was a little inconsistent. View: Our room offered a captivating view of the city center's nightscape. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed sleep.

Many thanks to the hotel for the complimentary room upgrade. The room itself was well-equipped and very spacious. The only drawback was the lack of soundproofing – we could clearly hear people passing by and the rain outside. On a positive note, complimentary breakfast was included, which was a great perk!

Amazing place. Great location (at the end of the old town). Very clean with really nice staff. The owner even offered to drive me to the train station instead of taking the bus. Highly recommend.
