Lazy J Ranch Motel

My sister and I enjoyed four nights at Lazy J. We had cottage #2. It has a full kitchen, very nice and completely furnished with pots, etc. Two coffee makers. Two comfortable beds, couch. Exceptionally clean! Excellent staff who helped us immediately with a request. Every morning we sat in back, looking out at mountains. Beautiful and peaceful. Very nice pool. In Three Rivers, enjoy Sequoia Coffee shop and Three Rivers Yogurt (very pretty place out back to sit). Sweet motel cat, Turtle.

Lazy J is an awesome place to stay. Very clean, and offers lots of little extras. We arrived late (10 p.m.) after a full day in Sequoia and Kings Canyon. The office was closed, but an envelope with instructions to the room and our key to the room were provided on a clipboard outside the office. We were lucky to get a cottage. 6A. It was near the river access. When we booked, we were told we would get 1 qn bed and one full bed. When we entered, we were surprised to find 2 twins in the room also. Everyone in our party of 4 enjoyed their own bed for the evening. A nice perk for a night for my husband and me. They supplied us with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, mouthwash, make-up remover, a makeup washcloth, and other tolitories. I do wish they had supplied body wash also, but definitely not a deal breaker. We had a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot was supplied. There were also pods of coffee, creamer, and sugar. We also had a ceiling fan, which was very helpful in keeping the room cool. In the morning, my son and I went out and visited the sheep kept on grounds on our way to the office. They were friendly, and we enjoyed petting them and saying hi! They have many hummingbird feeders around the front office and tons of hummingbirds to watch. Make sure to visit the resident cat, Turtle, also. She is very friendly and loves getting pets. She seems to reside in the front office. I have also been told she has her own Instagram account, too! Plan ahead for breakfast, as they do not sure anything. Again, it's not a deal breaker. The one and only negative we experienced was the air-conditioner. It was sooooo loud! And, in our room, it was right above the full-size bed. If we ever come back to Sequoia, we will definitely stay here! We stayed at the Comfort Inn the night before and paid considerably more for that room. This cottage was just as nice, if not better. Minus the breakfast. We did not get to use the pool, but it looked very nice! Do yourself a favor, and stay at this local place. You will bot be disappointed

Lazy J motel had great rooms and amenities. Check in was seamless, more like a little cottage room. Housekeeping did a wonderful job keeping us stocked on items. Animals in the back with a beautiful view. I would recommend this Motel for anyone visiting the national park. They were very welcoming and friendly.

My husband and I loved staying here during our first visit to Sequoia National Park. The manager was very helpful with providing a map of the town and a list of restaurants sorted by distance to the motel. This is a really nice, family friendly motel with farm animals, a pool, a playground, and a library of movies to rent. I only marked down one star because the TV in our room seemed to buffer a lot, but that could just be due to the mountain location. Really not a big deal though. The location is very conveniently close to the park and many local restaurants and shops. We definitely plan to return here when we have our own family of little ones to entertain!
