Please use side gate beside main house to gain access to the entry door located on the side of the casita. Guest accessFollow the large concrete steps that lead to the side entry door of the casita. The parking area is located directly in front of the casita. Note: if you street park you'll have a better view of the grounds from the sliding glass door of the casita. But do whatever works for you!There is a small storage area designated for host use that is located beneath the hot water heater cabinet. And - you are welcome to bring your family dog with you on your vacation.The owners have lovingly restored and upgraded this charming cottage to provide modern amenities and conveniences while maintaining the original architectural integrity. You will be delighted with the stylish uncluttered interiors and carefully selected vintage furniture and chic decor, all created by a professional Interior Designer whose specialty is boutique hotels.The spacious living room has an original iron stove and wood burning fireplace, comfortable leather sofas, large flat screen with Blu Ray player and internet for downloading movies and accessing Netflix (not connected to cable or satellite). You will need to bring your password. There is also a large selection of DVD's. The kitchen overlooking the private rear garden features granite counter tops, farm sink, and quality appliances. REDTAIL HOUSE Is a secluded View Home with wrap around deck and everything a discriminating couple or small family would want to relax, read, prepare meals, and sleep superbly. The Entry opens to the view of the private courtyard with private hot tub. Through the double french doors you will find the large, beautiful, modern Kitchen with island and dining table and seating for four. There you’ll find a well stocked pantry, coffee bar, my personal collection of local art and access to the deck with table and chairs, plus a propane grill and awesome cross-canyon views. Also off of the Entry you'll go up two steps to the very cute Library then pass through double french pocket doors to the Living Room complete with smart TV, Lazy Boy recliner, propane fireplace, piano, writing desk and more art. This sounds grand but it’s a small house that lives large. In the Primary Bedroom is outfitted with a fabulous Cal King bed, closet and chair as well as deck access. The bathroom, just off the hallway, has a wonderfully deep soaking tub with shower. The Second Bedroom has a very comfortable Murphy wall bed single, a chair, closet and another access to the courtyard. In that Courtyard you will find the private spa/hot tub perfect after a long day hiking in Sequoia. There is a separate Laundry Room off of the kitchen and primary bedroom that is well stocked with all the products you’ll need. There is a Tesla charger available for your use at Redtail Cottage (the guest house) and a “Teslatap” adapter for others. IMPORTANT: There are 17 rock steps from the parking to the house level that need to be considered making REDTAIL HOUSE inconvenient for guests with mobility issues. The river offers the best swimming hole in mid-June, July, August, September, and October! Other months of the year strictly depend on snow melt from the top of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Sequoia National Park.All five bedrooms offer king-size beds, and two provide an additional twin-size bed. The bedrooms also include a luggage rack and closets or cabinets for storing personal belongings. All bathrooms are easily accessible for everyone in the group to use. Flat-screen televisions are available in the living room, and two more bedrooms and WiFi are available throughout the entire property!The dining table comfortably seats 10 guests, and the bar counter seats four more guests. The kitchen provides a stainless steel gas stove and oven, a stainless steel refrigerator, plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and basic spices and oil for cooking.All three bathrooms provide showers and toilets, plus one bathroom offers a bathtub for the children!This location requires a walk down to the house and up to your vehicle.
