When we arrived, we knew we were 1.5 hours early, as the room would only be ready at 3 p.m. My wife completed the check-in, but of course, we didn’t receive the key yet. She went swimming with our two older boys while I waited with our youngest. I checked every 20 minutes to see if the room might be ready and to avoid the rush later. 20 minutes before 3pm the woman at reception even confirmed with housekeeping and said the room would be ready soon. I expected her to notify me when it was available, but as time passed, more guests arrived and the line grew. When I finally asked again, by the nearest desk the women told me I had to queue behind about 40 others, even though our check-in was already completed. I explained this, but she insisted on following procedure. I waited another 20 minutes, then noticed a sign saying guests who had checked in online could collect their keys directly. When I pointed this out, she dismissed it, saying it only applied to online check-ins. It felt unnecessarily rigid and unprofessional. The lack of flexibility and communication ruined the start of our stay and the kids had to go swim without me because i did not wanna face any guests nore staff anymore— very disappointing and frustrating.

They charge extra for using spa before 3pm on arrival. In practice, the check-in line takes almost an hour so you’ll be in the spa at 4, earliest. With kids, it’s a bit late and kind of spoils the whole idea of the trip. The spa lockers for hotel guests are crummy and rusty, the spa is dirty and the hotel corridors and rooms very old-fashioned. But staff was friendly and our family-room incredibly spacious. The view was towards a parking lot -type area.

Not very peaceful hotel, If you want to get sleep well. Upstair on my room was some room party , and it was impossible to sleep well.

Otherwise the visit was quite well, but the hotel restaurants are not worth anything. The booking system allowed us to book buffet for Friday, but few days after that the restaurant manager informed us that Friday is not possible since the director had surprisingly decided to go for winter opening hours earlier than it was intended. OK, I agreed that our buffet booking can be moved to Saturday. Again, few days later they requested to move our booking form buffer to a'la carte restaurant, because they do not have enough employees available. For a compensation of this they offered -15 % discount. We agreed -20 % and our booking was relocated again. On Saturday all went quite OK, but when we received the check they told us that -20 % was from the original price, not after -15 % Scandic friends discount that all will get on weekends. Think about it, they offered us -15 % (which equals to 0 % in our Scandic friends level) compensation because of the issues they have caused for us. That is how much they are valuing us. We were a group of 10 people and we stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. And this is how they trear us. Hotel and the spa was otherwise OK, but the restaurant mess ruined the whole thing.

Nothing in the room: no water, no kettle, no tea, not even a shoehorn to put on the shoes. No phone too, so if you're not from Finland, good luck calling the reception that has a Finnish phone number. No temperature control in the room: I was cold all the time. Also, double bed has 2 single mattresses. The spa closes super early (compared to Tallinn spa hotels, for example) The pillows are good, no neck pain. But why did it cost so much?

We stayed in Nokia Eden 3 nights and 4 days. We paid extra for Superior room to get extra comfort. Great disappointment was that our room was cleaned only once and towels changed also only once through out our entire stay and only after several reminders for staff. Staff member in reception just referred for the policy that towels will be changed after every three days! We are Finnish couple living in Indonesia. When we stay in the hotel, we would like to get value for our stay. Room need to be cleaned daily, towels need to be changed if those are wet. When we are in spa, it is very non hygienic to use wet towels over and over again. We hope that hotel crew will be re-trained to listen the customer and their needs and provide the service accordingly with out excuses.
