The place is in a great location, receptionist is so accommodating. Clean and quiet place to stay.

I looooove the hostel so much! It has every basic necessity a traveller like me needs- private bathroom, complete kitchenette, cinema room, game room, wc & luggage storage provided by the owner. The hostel has a steep stairs so if you were travelling with big luggage, you will need to put this in mind. Overall, loving my stay so much! Everything is walking distance ＜33

Thanks to the enthusiastic staff, the bus can take you back and forth from the airport to the hotel for 2 euros. There is a large shopping mall and supermarket next to the train station, which has all kinds of food and applications. There is no need to take a car to enter the city. All the scenic spots are concentrated within a few hundred meters around the hotel, making travel quite convenient.

The location is great, and the price is reasonable. But the stairs are a bit high. Still, it's worth making a reservation if you don't have a suitcase.

The hotel is good, cheap and clean. In the old city, because the location is very good, I stayed for an extra day.

The location is right in the ancient city, very convenient. Breakfast is not included, but there is an electric kettle and kitchen and utensils.

Stayed here for several nights while visiting Tallinn and overall I had a good stay, but there are some things I wish I knew before arriving. First, I stayed in a single room with shared bathroom. These rooms are ONLY on the fourth floor of the property and the stairs are quite steep due to this being an older building. There are no elevators or even a service elevator so if you have mobility issues, I would advise again staying here. Even in good health and mobility, those stairs were an issue, especially with luggage. Second, the property is a budget one and while it is clean, it is very dated. The kitchen especially. But it is well stocked and the fridges work and so does the cooktop so it does what it has to do. There is a small common area in the first floor but it’s not very comfortable or welcoming, so few use it. Bummer there isn’t other space here for that. Laundry is available at a very reasonable 5€ but it is an overseas washer that takes a lot of time. Like six-ish hours for wash and dry and I found the dryer didn’t always get things fully done. Also there are no areas to hang clothes outside. Shared bathrooms are also dated but fine for what you need. We did have an issue with a group staying at the hostel who hogged the bathrooms for hours and left them in terrible condition after, but that is not the hostel’s fault. Just terrible people. Front desk staff is great and the man and woman I saw spoke great English. Reception is generally open 2pm to 11pm but sometimes they showed up earlier. The cleaning staff in the AM was also helpful but FYI she does not speak a lot of English. Each floor has a WiFi router so outside of the dorms it was never an issue with speed, even for video calls. My room faced the historic wall and never got direct sunlight so it was always comfortable temp wise even in 22C weather and full sun. But yes there is some street noise. Overall, I would recommend it with these caveats, and I would likely stay again but with only a private bath and lower floor. Those stairs did get exhausting.

I enjoyed my stay in Munkenhof. Room was bright and spacious, looks like it was freshly renovated. Big plus was that there are 2 power outlets and a reading lamp next to each bed. I really liked the kitchen, it's got everything you need for cooking. Common areas were really clean, including bathrooms. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The hostel’s location couldn’t be more perfect—situated right in the center, it made getting around a breeze and put everything within easy reach. The cleanliness was top-notch as well, with every area, from the rooms to the common spaces, kept in pristine condition. It’s clear they pay close attention to hygiene, which made the entire stay feel more pleasant and worry-free. You can really tell they take pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The location is perfect, within walking distance to all the major attractions and public transport. The rooms and common areas were spotless, and the cleanliness was truly impressive. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I also loved the games room, which was a great spot to relax and meet other travelers!

This is a great guesthouse in the middle of Old Town. It's on a small street so away from all the street noise. I really liked the atmosphere there, the manager explained that it is freshly renovated. Our room was on the 4th floor, room was very bright and facing the inner courtyard of catholic church. Room was very clean and cozy, comfortable beds. There is a big common kitchen on the first floor which we didn't use but it seemed to have everything you need to cook your own meals. Overall a great value for money, keep up the good work!

I booked a bed in 10-bed dormitory, it was very clean and nice room. There are 2-3 common bathrooms on each floor so there was never a waiting line (i was there in the middle of the week). Location is super, very close to bars and restaurants. Friendly staff.

Had a very nice stay there. Hostel is freshly renovated and it looks really nice. Our room was with private bathroom, nice and cozy. The hostel is very clean, staff is super friendly and helpful. For this price you couldn't ask for more. Would definitely stay there again!
