"When booking, I was not quite sure what to expect. Google Maps is vague. When getting closer, the road to the hotel became a mud road (The hotel is bordering the tiger reserve, so they have limitations on what they can build). So, I became nervous. But I was in very good hands. Very nice staff, very clean, nice food, nice veranda. I could not have wished for more. Since I booked rather late, I was lucky to get park tickets at all. It was literally a lottery in my case. The hotel checked every night, and I was then able to enjoy multiple safaris. So, two full days just in a 'flow' state. For the morning and afternoon safaris, the jeeps get assigned a zone by the park the night before. I was 2x in Zone 1, 1x in Zone 2, 1x in Zone 3. Not all of them resulted in a tiger sight. They still are wild animals. I skipped the full day safaris. Those are expensive already from the park side of things. They are targeted for professional and those are allowed to change zones during the day. That is increasing the chances, but I skipped. I was happy with the two full days and 4 safaris."

"Enjoyed a nice comfortable stay at club Mahindra bandhavgarh meadows, their newly built studio units are well appointed and spacious with kitchenette. The staff is extremely humble and courteous.  The food options mainly their local regional options are.very tasty and chef Motilal is eager to explain and make local food  . Very thoughtful of them to provide a breakfast picnic basket for the early morning safari.  Safari arrangements done by their agent Raju tiger were flawless and worry free .  Personal attention by manager Ashish and volunteering to take us on a nature walk was another highlight. His eagerness to tell about local flora fauna, culture, village life, Wildlife sightings, paw prints made the walk more interesting."

"We spent a lot of time with our guide and naturalist Onam Tirmare who took us out for three safaris in the three core areas of the Bandhavgarh National Park. He gave us a lot of information on the forest and the history of its famous inhabitant tigers like Charger. We got to see the tiger D3 within ten minutes on our very fast safari. Onam gave us the entire resume on D3. He kept us within viewing range of D3 for more than 30 minutes. On the next safari, he showed us the claw marks of a tiger more than ten feet high on the tree trunk. He pointed out to us that it was a show of his size and strength as a deterrent to potential challengers. It was an exciting experience to see the claw marks so high up on the tree. I strongly recommend other visitors to Bandhavgarh and Syna to ask for Onam to be their safari guide."
