IntercityHotel Taiyuan Yingze Main Street

This hotel exceeded our expectations. I can only say "amazing." I originally chose it simply because it was newly opened, but upon arrival, I realized it's truly exceptional. 👌👌 First, the location: close to Fenhe Park, convenient for morning exercise and evening strolls, and easy access to other attractions. Secondly, the service: the front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were all incredibly attentive, doing everything they could to make us feel right at home. Seeing we arrived late, they even delivered a midnight snack to our room. The service deserves a huge thumbs-up. Taiyuan was a perfect stop on this trip.

🏨 The room amenities were impeccable. The room was thoughtfully appointed: the minibar included cola, soda, and stout 🍻, which was delightful. The Australian APPELES Black Label toiletries smelled delicious, and the room also included a humidifier, air purifier, ironing board, Delonghi kettle, and tea set! The room also provided baby laundry detergent and underwear laundry detergent. The bathrobes were individually wrapped and soft, and the simple black and white design was classy 📸. 🌉 Convenient location for easy travel. A 10-minute taxi ride to the Shanxi Museum, Bell Tower Street, and Liuxiang! It's also conveniently located to Taiyuan South Railway Station and the airport, making it a great choice for both business and leisure travelers. ✅ 🍽️ Diverse breakfast options. Overall, similar to Mercure, but with a German-style feel, offering German sausages and alkaline bread. The diverse selection offers a fusion of Chinese and Western cuisine, and the food is fresh and quick to refill. Free parking and charging stations are also great for those driving. 💁 Heartwarming service The front desk was very friendly. They provided souvenirs upon check-in and check-out, including a Taiyuan fridge magnet upon departure! Late-night requests were responded to instantly, making family trips worry-free. ⛺️ The only slight disappointment was that the river view room shown when booking was not actually available, which somewhat disappointed our expectations.

The hotel's location is quiet in a busy area, as it's a standalone building not facing the street, making it very peaceful at night. The front desk was quick to check in, responsive to any requests, and delivered items promptly, which is commendable. The restaurant is beautiful, but during my stay, I was repeatedly asked by different staff members to confirm whether my room number was included in the meal, which was a bit frustrating. They could have simply installed a key card machine at the entrance. Also, seating was tight during the morning rush hour during summer vacation, and there were no guides. The rooms were clean, the facilities were new, and the cleaning was meticulous, but room tidying and replenishment could be improved. The front desk even reminded me of my parking voucher upon check-out. After staying so many nights, my favorite part was the front desk staff's service and attitude, which made up for the shortcomings in the dining and room service. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Very satisfied 👍The front desk and service staff are very enthusiastic. There is sour plum soup when checking in. I stayed for 4 consecutive nights. The laundry room is great, the breakfast is also very rich, and there are snacks, gifts and drinks when checking out. I have a very good impression of Intercity Hotel and will continue to pay attention to Intercity Hotels in other cities.
