We Share Hostel

A cozy little B&B tucked away in a small alley. It's surrounded by many great eateries, and Guohua Street is also within easy reach. The single room I stayed in this time felt quite spacious.

A thoughtfully renovated old building, featuring traditional terrazzo flooring that naturally keeps the space cool. I stayed in the room on the left, facing the entrance, and it was incredibly peaceful at night. The room was impeccably clean and fresh, with not a speck of dust even in the corners. While the bathroom is shared, the shampoo and shower gel provided were high-quality, the water pressure was fantastic, making for a really enjoyable shower, and the hairdryer was new. My only slight issue was a strong liquid air freshener placed on the floor for deodorizing. The scent was quite overwhelming for my personal preference. Guests who don't like it can simply remove it or hand it to the front desk. The water dispenser was brand new, offering cold, warm, and hot options, complete with paper cups – perfect for making a nice cup of tea. I wasn't sure if the two plastic cups in the room were meant for rinsing or for tea. I didn't get a chance to ask the front desk, so I opted not to use them.

Bike-friendly. Laundry facilities are available: washing machine (NT$40 per load), with complimentary dryer and free detergent. The rooms are comfortable and well-lit. The entire place has a strong, authentic Tainan vibe. Located in an alley, it's convenient for those traveling by scooter or bike. Plus, it's right next to a delicious pork lard rice eatery!

The hotel is situated on a side street, conveniently close to the main road. Be aware that the nearest parking lot has limited spaces, so you might need to use the underground parking on Hai'an Road. The lobby is quite small, there's no elevator, and the staircase is narrow, which is something to consider if you're traveling with heavy luggage. However, the room itself was spacious, and the air conditioning worked well. The only minor issue was occasionally noticing small insects near the window.

This guesthouse, a unique conversion of an old traditional house, is centrally located and very close to Guohua Street. The front desk staff were very attentive, and the room rate on Friday was also very affordable. The soundproofing was only average, which is understandable given it's an old building. The only minor issue was that a family member experienced an allergic reaction from leaning on the bed's throw pillows; we're unsure of the exact cause.

I stayed in a Superior double room. It was convenient to check the access code and other important details via LINE. Since you have to go up a narrow staircase, carrying large luggage could be challenging. There are plenty of dining options nearby, so finding a place to eat was never an issue. Everything you need is provided, and the staff are very attentive, so I'd love to stay here again.
