Marriott Properties in Suzhou

Sunny, the host, proactively contacted me a day before check-in to confirm my needs and location, making everything perfectly arranged and thoughtful. During my two-night stay, they checked in daily on my experience, truly making me feel at home. One detail that deeply impressed me was during check-in. As I arrived early and planned to go out after dropping off my luggage, the front desk lady, upon learning this, offered to process my check-in right away. This way, if a room became available, it would be assigned directly, and I could simply pick up the room card upon returning to the hotel. This was such a pleasant surprise! The hotel breakfast was also incredibly rich. Although it closed at 10:00 AM, I noticed the chef was still patrolling and refilling dishes at 09:30 AM – impressive! For breakfast, I highly recommend the cold brew oats; they even had finely sliced fresh apples in them. Both the Chinese and Western dishes used very fresh ingredients. Furthermore, I stayed for two nights, and due to a change in plans, I made a quick round trip to Shanghai. I was so glad I didn't cancel this hotel. If you're visiting Suzhou and then want to go to Shanghai, you can certainly continue staying in Suzhou like I did. The hotel's service is absolutely outstanding!

Our stay was excellent, and I'd particularly like to commend Philip from the front office. Upon arrival for check-in, Philip was incredibly polite and courteous. He handled everything efficiently and professionally, patiently explaining the hotel facilities, breakfast times, and local transportation information. Throughout my stay, I had several questions, and he always responded with a smile and in great detail. He also proactively helped coordinate and resolve small requests very promptly. His service was perfectly balanced – warm without being overbearing, and he genuinely considered things from a guest's perspective, which added an extra layer of comfort to my trip. While the hotel itself is undoubtedly good, Philip's thoughtful and attentive service was the absolute highlight of this stay. Many thanks to the front office team, and especially to Philip for his dedicated efforts. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time and would be happy to recommend it to friends and family.

This summer, I took my child to the Marriott hotel by Lake Tai in Suzhou for a weekend getaway. Before our arrival, the hotel butler called and mentioned they'd add me on WeChat, but they only did so at the front desk after we'd checked in. I had already informed the Ctrip customer service to request a room upgrade and late check-out, but when I repeatedly asked about the upgrade at check-in, I didn't get a direct answer. They did grant the late check-out though. The room was just so-so; the pillows were incredibly soft and very uncomfortable to sleep on. The placement of the trash cans was also quite inconvenient; there wasn't one near the sink. The recreation center was pretty good, with both indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool was 27 degrees Celsius, and the water had just been changed at the end of June. The outdoor pool had a children's play area, which my child thoroughly enjoyed. On Saturday nights during the summer, there was even a pool party with fireworks. The recreation center also had mahjong rooms, table tennis rooms, and billiard rooms, but all of these cost extra. Breakfast was truly disappointing; the variety didn't meet five-star hotel standards, and the dishes were the same for both days of our stay. We even had to ask a staff member for spoons, which was quite inconvenient. On the night of our arrival, I asked the butler for body lotion, but it took a long time to arrive. Overall, the staff wasn't very enthusiastic.
