"The location of this hotel is spectacular. We stayed in a junior suite in the original part of the house that was built here and enjoyed every minute of our visit. Rain, sun and fog couldn’t stop us from seeing the stunning scenery. We also took advantage of the spa and had massages which we welcomed after hiking earlier in the day. The bar had entertainment and delicious teas, the dining room provided a vast menu and the accommodations are comfortable. The front desk was so welcoming and helpful when we needed it. We will do what we can to go back to the High Tatar’s and stay at the Kempinski."

"Odd hotel that has seen better days. It is more catered to tour groups. The room set ups to get to were odd with the stair system. There were parts of the facility that needed work. The rooms were very large and really quite bland. Breakfast was average in comparison to other spots in Central Europe. The staff were most fine and the area itself is striking."

"This hotel is perhaps one of the most budget options in Strbske Pleso, but the overall quality is not bad. Twin rooms are small and fairly basic, yet still fine. What I enjoyed the most is the view from the window, which is absolutely picturesque. The breakfast is very good, and the restaurant's cozy interior, combined with the landscape visible through the windows creates a remarkable impression. The hotel also offers wellness and spa facilities. Concerning the shortcomings: the restaurant kitchen closes at 20:00, the beds in the twin room are rather small and not very comfortable, there aren’t enough electrical sockets available, the hotel is quit far away form the train station, however is close to the most hiking trails."

"Outdoor restaurant badly understaffed with one waitress serving and a manager standing by doing absolutely nothing. When confronted she was rude just pointing fingers not even speaking to us. Zero people's skill. Should not be in the job at all 10 out 10 to waitress for hard work and putting up with that mess. We had to leave without food as waited already for ages."

"The Panorama in Štrbské Pleso is an architectural icon – This is the only thing that is worth staying. In addition, we would have expected some more for a not exorbitant but still on the ground price. The heating in our rooms could not be regulated virtually; we were recommended to lower the temperature by air. The breakfast buffet was all right, but it seemed clearly diluted one hour before the end. The coffee from the machines was limited. Furthermore, – different from the other hotels – the access to the main entrance was not cleared by snow and ice. The hotel is in good condition. The rooms are modern, clean and conveniently furnished; free drinks in the minibar are a pleasant detail. Our car was comfortable to park in the garage. The hotel's view of the mountains and towards the Lower Tatra is charming. In a few minutes walk you reach the lake, the walkways or the train station. Cafés, restaurants and smaller rounds are located in the surrounding area. The staff was friendly, professional and partly excellent German. Concluded: A experience that we do not want to miss – and with the above suggestions can be recommended by other friends of Tatra and a marked, consciously self-conscious architecture."
