The room was clean and tidy. The riverside king-size room had a great environment and a wide view. The front desk lady, Ms. Zhang Wei, was very friendly and provided a fruit plate upon check-in. She also introduced the culture and geography of Bazhong, recommended delicious food, and even upgraded her king-size room for free. This is commendable. The hotel's breakfast was rich, delicious, and varied.

The Holiday Inn Express Pyeongchang is truly remarkable among all the Holiday Inn Express hotels I've stayed at. Judging by the decor and room size alone, it's a member of the Indigo brand, perhaps due to its location in the small county of Pyeongchang. The service was exceptional. Upon check-in, I casually asked if there was sparkling water as a welcome drink and was told no. The hotel actually made me a special drink and sent it to my room. I was so touched. The breakfast was also very generous, and the quality of the dishes was exceptional, far superior to other Holiday Inn Express hotels.

The hotel is marked as a four-star hotel on Ctrip. After visiting the hotel and asking the front desk, I learned that the hotel is not a star hotel at all. The scale of the front desk on the first floor is like the front desk of a street business hotel, and it is definitely not the lobby of a three-star or four-star hotel you imagine. The entire first-floor front desk area is only more than 100 square meters. There are three employees in the breakfast room, including the noodle cooker. When asked why there are no fried eggs, the answer is that the staff is too busy so there are no fried eggs. Don't expect the breakfast variety of a three-star or four-star hotel. In the breakfast room, please ask the security uncle to check the meal ticket and clean up the tableware used by the guests. The parking spaces and passages of the hotel parking lot (underground floor) are narrow, and there are many motorcycles parked, which can easily cause car damage.

There was complimentary bottled water in the elevator area; take as needed. We were braving the heavy rain and wanted to drop off our luggage at the supermarket to buy some water after getting off the highway. The hotel's hospitality was evident from the moment we entered the elevator. The bathroom had a non-slip mat, a thoughtful touch. The disposable razors were also a nice touch. Hot water came out very quickly, basically in 3 seconds. This was truly the best hotel we stayed at during our stay.

I want to commend Xiaomin for her excellent service; she promptly helped us with every issue we had. The hotel's location is also great—there are plenty of food options right outside, and it's convenient for getting to attractions. Plus, there's always parking available. The only downside is that the room is a bit small, especially the toilet area, which feels so cramped you might hit your head if you squat down. I hope they improve this in the future. The staff's service was genuine and enthusiastic, from the proactive assistance of luggage to the warm greetings. The entire hotel environment was impeccable. The rooms were spotless, the bedding soft and comfortable, and exuded the scent of sunshine. The bathrooms, with separate wet and dry areas, were immaculately clean. The amenities were also very complete. It was a truly wonderful stay and I'll definitely be back during the Red Leaf Festival.
