This downtown efficiency apartment is across the street from the Taos Plaza. It is on the "Garden Street" of Taos on a little one block street with shops, restaurants and four of my Vacation Rental apartments.Free parking in lot across the street. The Reading Nook has a comfortable chair, reading light and a variety of Vacation Books.The dining area is an antique table with two chairs complete with placemats and cloth napkins.Opaque blinds offer privacy yet allow our wonderful Taos light to come in.The main room has a ceiling fan, operable transom window and a dutch door for summer use. In winter months there is a gas log stove and even a heated electric mattress pad. Please operate gas log stove ONLY with wall thermostat. NEVER turn off main gas line.The hallway has hooks for hanging clothing and there is a dresser at the foot of the bed.I love the bathroom! It has a new tiled shower with my concept of random tiles and is bright and colorful. I provide Robes, thick towels, soaps, shampoo, hair dryer and other miscellaneous bath supplies. There is a ceiling fan for ventilation and a small space heater.This apartment as well as all the buildings on the street was built in the 1880's so thick walls keep it cool in summer and easy to keep warm in the winter. 14" thick walls will do that. Also it ensures quiet even though right downtown. The beauty of adobe construction.I operated this space as a small retail shop until I realized my true passion was Vacation Rentals.
