"Amanohashidate Hotel is located at the foot of Amanohashidate, with all its attractions within walking distance. Getting here from Kyoto is incredibly convenient: take the Tango Highway Bus and alight at Amanohashidate Station (buses to Ine Bay also depart from the same stop). The ryokan is right across the road. You can immediately drop off your luggage with the staff (if you've planned your arrival time well), making it effortless to head straight to Ine Bay. It's truly convenient for exploring both Amanohashidate and Ine Bay, the 'Kyoto by the Sea' region. This is a traditional Japanese *onsen* ryokan, built in 1900. All rooms boast magnificent views of Amanohashidate. The natural hot spring water flows directly from an underground source, offering wonderful health and beauty benefits. The included meals (dinner and breakfast) – a *kaiseki* dinner and buffet breakfast – were absolutely excellent and well worth the price, especially considering it was cherry blossom season!"

"It took nearly five hours to change three trains from Osaka (JR designated tickets were bought, but I felt that there was a problem with the JR system, and there were vacancies when I got on the train to buy tickets), and I saw the most beautiful snow scenery of Amanohashidate as I wished. It snowed so heavily that day. I was so excited at the beginning✌, and so frustrated later, and so frustrated during the process😭, and so many full memories when I went home😂 The hotel is really good, the room is quite large, and the Aso Sea is outside the window. "Drove over directly after checking out of Fairfield by Marriott Minamiyamashiro. Both hotels have the same layout, same design, same room themes but Amanohashidate has got a better location that is more accessible. Rooms were standard, modern, clean and very comfortable. Food options were aplenty. Stayed here so that we could drive to Ine easily. Food recommendations nearby were superb, free coffee in the lobby was a treat. Service was top notch and everyone could speak English! There's a little snack and souvenir corner at the hotel lobby where they sell ine no Funaya magnets for cheap and it's really nice. Really love the open concept room designs giving so much space and light. Fairfield by Marriott never disappoints with their value for money!! Breakfast was at a nearby restaurant just 5 minutes walk away, recommended by the hotel, for cheap and good grilled fish!"

"It is a bit of a walk from Amanohashidate Station (13 minutes according to Google Maps, but they say there is a pick-up and landing service, so those who can use it can use it) The room is a key key rather than a card key, and the air conditioner was turned on before check-in so it was cool. The overall interior of the hotel has a vintage feel, so it goes well with the countryside and is cozy. Amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body shampoo, cleansing foam, hair nutrition(?), lotion, and skin toner, so I didn't take out my cosmetics. Good thing~ I used the twin room by myself, and there was still room even if I spread out about four carry-on suitcases. It is spacious enough and has a dining table, wardrobe, sofa, and console. The bathroom is a dry toilet with separate bathroom, toilet, and sink. There were welcome snacks and a tea ceremony set, so I made good use of them. They also provided water in the pot in advance. Instead, there is no welcome water, so if you need cool water, use the vending machine on the first floor. There are no stores nearby, but they sell drinks, beer, and hard disks at the reception, so if you need a snack last night, you can use them. The large public bath is cozy. Likewise, shower amenities (excluding shower balls) are provided, so feel free to use them. The view from the balcony in the morning is beautiful (see photo, the second photo was taken at night) However, during times when there are a lot of tourists, there are cruise ships passing by so there is no privacy, which is a bad thing, but I wouldn't stay at the hotel at that time anyway. I guess it doesn't really matter because it's not that big of a deal. Every time a cruise ship passes by, I wave and they respond, which makes me happy haha. You can rent a bicycle at the hotel (400 yen) I made a last-minute reservation due to my schedule and mostly just slept, but it was a place I wanted to stay longer."

"Very authentic & traditional experience appeared all other guests were Japanese. loved the onsen experience and a fabulous emersión into Japanese culture. Location was great easy bus ride to local town & fishing village of Ine. Fabulous little intimate restaurant 2 min walk. On the down side little hard to find and would be very difficult at night. Staff only spoke Japanese & we’re not very friendly despite our best efforts to speak Japanese and make things a little easier with google translate. Price was very reasonable. Overall would recommend if you’re looking for a traditional family home style experience."

"Wonderful hostel! The girl on the reception is most helpful and friendly. It is 7-10 minutes from the bus stop, partially uphill, but the breathtaking view from terrace is worth it. Dinner and breakfast is substantial and tasty, free tea and coffee all day long. In the bathroom they have a small but nice sento! I highly recommend it!"

"The hotel is about a 3-minute walk from Amanohashidate JR Station, which is very convenient for a 2-day trip to Amanohashidate. You can see the sea from the room window, and the scenery is great. Although the store can only speak Japanese, the food and service are very good. In addition, the Kansai Wide Area 5-Day Pass + Amanohashidate 2-Day Pass booked on Ctrip is also a good deal, because the 2-day pass alone at the Amanohashidate Tourist Center costs 3,500 yen."

"First of all, the location of the hotel is excellent. It is very close to the Amanohashidate Cable Car and Chionji Temple. It is not far from the station and can be reached by walking. Guests can have free parking space, which is very considerate. The hotel service staff are friendly and professional. Except for the fact that I have to carry my luggage a little bit when staying on the second floor, it is really impeccable and highly recommended. The dinner part was amberjack hotpot, which we ate in the room, while the breakfast was Japanese-style and we went to the dining area downstairs. Both meals were great!! Our whole family likes it very much~"

"Although the location is not convenient, the B&B has a beautiful view. Looking at the sea view and listening to the sound of the waves, the facilities of the B&B are also very good. The food in the restaurant was also very good, all in all, very good."
