We were travel-ling to alibag first time and i booked this property only on the basis of fluke but believe me i chose a right property at right location. We travel-led from m2m and reached mandava. Private taxi with ac takes 1000 bucks and non ac taxi posts you 850 bucks till nagoan beach. We reached hotel a bit early and the hotel managers helped us to get the family room as quickly as possible as there was huge rush due to weekend. We got a family room which was big enough abd had an innovative way of having the extra bedding which i found quite interesting. The hotel rooms are located at 1st and ground floor and rooms are all closeby which gives a dormitory feel. The room has got all necessity items but with broken almira. The bathrooms are quite spacious. The hotel has also got a small pool which can be used by guests and we also got an opportunity to see that. The hotel has got a restaurant which is ok types. You have to eat there as there are no. Mearby options available. Nagoan beach is around 1. 6 kms from this property which makes the location of this hotel very decent. Need to mention mr nitin, mr rajesh and one guy named as ”mama” in property who are quite helpful. Overall a nice stay.

This is a historically important location in Matheran.  Ratheesh and his business partner were so welcoming and helpful and the accommodation is so full of character. For a truly “green” and unique stay in a totally unique location, the Verandah in the Forest is absolutely a must. This is undoubtedly the place to stay in Matheran if you can get a room - would suggest booking early so as not to miss the chance to stay here - and is so much more than a hotel. Food was superb and because of the size and layout, never seemed busy. Quiet and relaxing stay.  As there’s no phone signal in Matheran Hill Station I’d suggest contacting Ratheesh before making the ascent to the hill station for location instructions. There is wi-fi at the Verandah in the Forest. 

Location was ok. Front desk service is okish.... security is pretty much on point as well. But the technical team is slow..... i ask for a remote battery replacement and it took me about 40minutes + 3reminders to get it done. End up i had to open my room door and stopped a staff passing by to get help. Was a horrible experience with services.... Room wise its clean and manageable.... facilities is okish.... Breakfast more room for impovement too with variety...

The staff are friendly, courteous, and always willing to help. Overall, this is a good property and a worthwhile choice for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a convenient location.

I had booked the room for my husband's birthday and it was the best decision. The room was immaculate and beautifully designed, providing a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the room. The highlights was the impeccable service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile.Food options are limited but taste is awesome and staff suggest you with good recommendation. Overall, I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway with topmost hygiene standards. The owner is really humble and personally take care of all the needs and see that everything is maintained.It exceeded all my expectations and I can't wait to return.

Very comfortable room, in a quiet and relaxing spot of Matheran. Delicious food and above all very friendly and serviceable staff! Our stay was lovely, we even extended it for two more nights without any issue. The hotel staff was always ready to help us with any inquiry. The room was large and with all necessary things.
