There is a parking lot for money, and the hotel is very good, but Ctrip's agents are rubbish. I booked for six days, and then stayed for two days and got a rash all over the body. First I went to see the doctor. The doctor suggested changing the room. When I went to the front desk, I saw that the front desk only charged for two nights. But Ctrip said the agent did not agree to the refund of the money later. It is still under negotiation. There is an option in Ctrip to pay at the store, and then the hotels here do not pay at first, and the settlement will be settled when you leave, so everyone will pay at the store after booking the hotel.

Die Lage am See ist toll. Sehr ruhig. Leider keine Innenstadt zum shoppen. Es war generell sehr ruhig im Hotel und die Sonnenterrasse leer und nicht sehr gepflegt. Schade, dass der Steg zum Wasser nicht größer ist. Ansonsten Zimmer war sauber, leider kein Kühlschrank, aber im Foyer konnte man Kaffee umsonst rauslassen. Ein Getränke Automat mit gekühlten Getränken gsb es auch, war ok. PREIS - LEISTUNG für nur Übernachtung finde ich bissle hoch. Klar das Zimmer mit Balkon und mit Blick auf den See ist toll.

From check-in to check-out the staff was always very friendly and premature. There was a welcome cocktail and free WiFi. The room was a good choice and comfortable.

Free parking. Room is clean and just nice. There's a small kitchen but without any cooking tools so unless you're bringing cooking tools, you can't cook. It is out of nowhere and it looks like a conversion of office building to hotel rooms. I have no issue with it and it worked out for me.

It’s a nice place, very calm & nice location, has a wooden staircase to go up the loft for the beds, can be tricky for elderly, however very warm & cozy. The manager was weird & wanted to chase me out a hour earlier even though I had paid for a late check out, she was sending people to knock on my door & calling to vacate, when I clearly had 1 more hour to go, very weird lady.

If we could give this hotel a review of 10/5 we would. We stayed for an extended time (16 days) and during that time we experienced the best and friendliest service. The reception staff was always friendly and cheerful. Everyone was ready to help with any question we had. Breakfast was amazing. The selection was terrific. And every morning we were greeted by the pleasant and happy staff. One staff member told me she loves her job. Who doesn't want to stay in a hotel where the staff love working? Several days my mother who travelled with me was ill and the staff made it so easy for me to take breakfast to her in the room. The room was terrific. We requested the accessible room and were not disappointed. Despite Ettlingen not being the most wheelchair friendly, Stadthotel Engel had every accessibility need addressed. The front entrance has no stairs. They have an elevator that stops at the breakfast room level. The bathroom in our room was wheelchair friendly with a raised toilet, fully accessible shower, and vanity that could accommodate a wheelchair underneath. We did not have a wheelchair but my mother has a walker which requires many of the same accommodations. The room has air conditioning for those who are concerned about that. The location is amazing. From the hotel you are directly in the old city and can walk to many stores, cafes, and restaurants. The hotel entrance is located in an inside court area where there are tables that can be enjoyed during the nice weather.

Nice hotel in the heart of the city , easy to get from the train station to the hotel , also walking distance from karlsruhe schloss , staatliches museum , and Christmas market , located on the town Main Street that is full of shops , restaurants , its common to see people struggle with the check in process can be confusing and not for everyone so they should improve the check in machine

The location of the hotel is very good, the hall is also very atmospheric, and the rooms are also very good. The facilities are complete, the decoration is warm and unique, and the service is also in place

The environment in the hotel is very good and very quiet. The area of the room is quite large, and the two big men dragging 5 boxes to check in is not too crowded. The toilet is very clean. The front desk is very serious, after check-in will be very detailed introduction to the network, the matters needing attention around the hotel and so on. The hotel is about 5 minutes' walk from hbf, so the traffic is very convenient. The only problem comes from the surrounding environment of the hotel. The hbf neighborhood is notoriously messy. Be careful of thieves and those who fly the leaves when you go out, especially during the epidemic. But the hotel is very quiet and safe.

It was convenient because there were many rewe or Döner houses nearby, and there was a tram in the city in 5 minutes on foot.
