"We took the scenic bus to Mount Lushan around 7 PM and got off at the Transportation Management Office station. After calling the dealer, they immediately picked us up. The GL8 was large and comfortable.
The location was okay, though it wasn't directly on the main street. It took a 10-minute walk to the main street, but the busiest main street was about another 5 minutes away. I was fine walking around on the first day, but after climbing San Diequan on the second day, my legs were sore I barely had the strength to walk.
We booked a tatami room. Upon check-in, the dealer, seeing that there were three of us, told us the bed was 1.2 meters long and couldn't accommodate an extra futon. We didn't plan to add one, and we shared the bed with our child. The mattress was thick and comfortable, and the room was brightly lit.
The room was on the fourth floor, with an elevator. The window overlooked the building, and the curtains were always drawn, preventing a view. Of course, the window was covered, as stated in the booking. The soundproofing was poor. The room was very clean, but if someone used the water in the shower, it would affect the water level. We stayed two nights and checked out early at 8:00 a.m. to head down the mountain. The hotel drove us to the bus stop at Xiaotianchi Station, about a 10-minute walk.
It's important to note that although it's called a hotel, it's not a guesthouse; it's a B&B. Many hotels on Lushan Mountain are like this, so if you're bothered by this, it's better to book a chain hotel. After all, the service at a real hotel is different. We liked hotels with self-service laundry facilities because it was so hot and we were soaking wet after a day out, so we wanted to wash our clothes. It didn't matter to us since we were heading back home after checking out. Overall, we were very satisfied."
