There is a wonderful beach area just steps from the condo. This area of the beach is known to be very family-friendly as it is less crowded. The location is great for dolphin watching, watching large ship containers travel into savannah port. If you enjoying walking along the beach you can walk all the way to the South end of the Island, without leaving the sand. The Beach & Racquet Club is a great alternative to staying at a hotel room on the island. Welcome to the Wandering Mermaid. Check out the new pool and outdoor sitting area with fire pit. The kitchen has white granite counter tops with white/blue cabinets. The dining area features a large farm house table that can seat 10 people. The living room continues the coastal vibe with 2 large couches and an oversized chair. The master bedroom is an oasis with king bed, 13 ft ceilings and a quite seating area. The master bedroom closet is so large we stuck a full size bed in there if needed for extra guest. The kids room upstairs is adjacent to the master bedroom with full bed with twin over. The second king bedroom and queen bedroom are located on main floor and share a bathroom. Check out video with drone footing to get a birds eye view of the area. There are several bikes available for guest use along with gas and charcoal grill. The grilling area downstairs has a sectional sofa and chair with a 6 person table along with a full outdoor bath. We provide a starter kit of soaps, shampoos and paper products along with filters and coffee for a standard coffee pot. There is also a keurig. The Summer House on the Island of Tybee is located in a quiet friendly neighborhood, within walking distance to almost everything on the island. The house is a circa 1925 home that has been lovingly restored to keep up with the times, but retains 'The Summer House' charm. The caretaker lives on the property in the lower level. There are three porches, a porch swing, an outdoor shower, a small yard and gardens to enjoy. Bicycles and pedestrians walk on the street, the market is a few doors away, the beach which is 1 1/2 blocks away is the most favored on the island. There are cabs to take you most anywhere else on the island. The house is bright and airy. It has 2 bedrooms. No. 1 has a queen bed. No. 2 has two bunk beds all twin sized and sleeps 4. There is one bath that has a tub/shower, there is an outdoor shower under the back stairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the conveniences of your own home, there is even a drawer full of spices for your use. Amenities include, TV, internet, an assortment of toys and games for beach and home. The home is centrally cooled with ceiling fans in each room, with the exception of the bunk room which has a portable fan. The is a wagon to take to the beach and a wheeled cart as well. There are toys for the beach, chairs, and an umbrella, for your enjoyment. I live in the house as well, in the first level. We share the driveway, laundry room and back patio. The episode covers the story on my search for the perfect beachfront/oceanfront property and I invite you to come stay in my perfect piece of paradise--Flip Flop Fever.The sights and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean surround you in this 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. You can watch the dolphins play just a couple hundred yards away, take in the enormous cargo ships as they glide the edge of the horizon, watch the shrimp boats catch tonight's dinner and smell the sweet saltwater air all from the comfort of your own private balcony and from both the living room and the master bedroom in this condo. Enjoy these scenes from a cozy sofa or queen bed with a handmade Tybee Island driftwood headboard, while dozing off for an afternoon nap after a morning stroll along the sandy shores. There are stairs to the 3rd floor and no elevator is available, but I feel the climb is worth the view. In past years, I have rented condos at Tybee for my family, and I was often disappointed in the presentation and the bare minimum preparation. I have gone to great efforts to make my condo exceed your expectations regarding supplies and items throughout the condo. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the dishes, pots/pans and accessories you would need to prepare a Sunday meal or brew a quick pitcher of iced tea to sit on the porch and enjoy sipping throughout the afternoon. I am a big crockpot lover, when I’m visiting the beach. It’s so easy to throw something in the crockpot before heading out to catch some rays and when you return – lunch is ready! There is a large crockpot available for your use.A high-powered telescope located in the living room, allows you an up close and personal view of the sights and sounds of Tybee Island, Georgia and Hilton Head island in the distance. Watch the dolphins play, see the fish jumping or peek in on the kite boarders that frequently entertain us with their presence. The bath linens are of exceptional quality, soft and comfy. I have left plenty of bedding for your convenience and there is a pull-out sofa in case you bring more friends. I really believe it is the small touches that make someone feel welcome and relaxed. My goal in decorating this condo was to create an environment that is conducive of a relaxing beach vacation. A true home away from home feeling that will keep you coming back for more. The community is private with gated entrance and offers 2 pools and a kiddie pool. There is also a small area with swings for the children. BBQ grills outside the pool area and tennis courts across the street as well. I invite others to share in my enjoyment of the Atlantic Ocean and hope that their vacation at Tybee Island, Georgia will leave lasting footprints in their lives for years to come.
