For the price, and if you are just looking for a bed to sleep on, this place is BOMB. Super convenient location. Next to the grove for shopping and dining, a trader joes, whole foods, CVS, erewhon all nearby walking distance. Heaps of bus stops around. Also very close to lots of iconic LA museums. There was free breakfast included but i did not ever go as i don’t eat breakfast. Guy at front desk was very nice and helpful, asked if i needed anything and was very friendly, recommending places to go to. Room itself also had fridge, microwave, ironing board all packed in the tiny space. Heating/AC also very strong. Housekeeping also nice, gave me a bunch of shampoo and conditioner bottles when I only asked for one of each. Would stay here again.

Guest UserThis hotel is perfect for those who want be within walking distance to the Hollywood walk of fame and the Griffith Observatory hiking trail. It's also possible to hike the Hollywood sign if you don't mind longer trails. The room was basic and does the job. The free parking was a blessing for us and we really appreciated this. The swimming pool, although was small, was very relaxing and well maintained. The main downside is the safety of the area surrounding the hotel. We felt safe within the grounds of the hotel, but outside there were many scary homeless people.

The building is average looking with friendly manager. I had apartment 201 which was an upstairs unit. The white bedspread had stains on it, that looked like fecal stains from someone sitting on the white spread. The sheets were fine. The carpeting looked like it had not been shampooed in years. The sleeping area has two ceiling lights that were not working. Not so sure that the TV remote was working, but was able to work the TV using the on and off buttons. There were no light switches near the bed so I had to get out of bed to turn on and off the ceiling lights. The baseboards were very dirty and dusty. Spots on the walls. The headboard needed to be dusted. The bathroom had decent water pressure and sufficient hot water. The walls near the toilet and sink counter were full of spots. Spider webs on the side of the toilet walls. Ceiling exhaust fan was not working, and one light in the bathroom was out. Towels were clean but put on he racks not completely dry. In general I would say that the cleaning staff probably touches the obvious areas but does not pay attention to details. Even the lightswitch covers had a layer of dust on the top of the cover. I have pictures, but not going to spend anymore time on this review. Just want to warn future customers looking at this location.

Guest UserWe extended our stay a few times, and each time we were required to make a $100 deposit for incidentals ( to be returned in up to 7 days if not used). Since we did not make any incidental or other charges, this repeated charge only drained our account and held the $100, making our hard-earned money unavailable to us. The property said it was company policy. The company says it's the policy of independent owners. Regardless, what is the purpose of repeatedly holding an extra $100 if guests want to extend the stay and there are no incidental charges for the current stay? If you must charge the $100 which we feel is necessary every time, how about a policy of one $100 charge for the first stay and replenishing or extending the $100 incidental charge (i.e., don't charge an extra $100 for an extension if the first $100 wasn't used or only partially used). Just let the original $100 roll over to the extended stay (if there were no incidental charges during the original stay) or only replenish the charge up to $100 if part of the original $100 was used (i.e., only charge enough to make $100). This way, your guests who are supposed to be your most valuable asset won't be made to feel they are being nickeled and dimed just for the convenience of an unfair or inequitable policy no one in authority appears to want to address. To address my concern would only take a small one-time programming change -- don't you agree

My room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with a comfortable work desk and high-speed Wi-Fi, which made it easy to stay productive. The bed was very comfortable, and the blackout curtains ensured I got a good night’s rest after long workdays.

The best part is the location: walkable to lots of restaurants on Huntington while only a short drive from Westfield Santa Anita and Old Town Monrovia. Open kitchen and free parking are just great. However, cleanliness could be improved since the open kitchen area might attract little creatures. What I’d really hope to see improve is collection of recyclables ♻️.

I like the location of the Green Tree, which is near the Del Mar metro station in Pasadena, and convenient for getting to JPL or Caltech. The staff are friendly, the hotel is clean, and they have a nice bowl of fresh fruit available at the check-in. However, I have two quibbles. First, I found the billing to be perplexing. Online travel agencies said I would be charged an extra $5 on site, but in fact I was charged an extra $12.20 (+ a $100 deposit which has not yet been credited back to me). Since I was traveling for work, I needed a $0 balance receipt to document that charge, and the reception staff were unable to provide an appropriate receipt. Second, the room was cold, with air-conditioning set to 64 F when I arrived. I turned off the air conditioning, but I was cold in bed and unable to find a blanket or extra layer. If I stay again, I guess I'll bring my own blankets and will try to book differently (perhaps directly through the hotel) in hopes of getting a receipt that my travel reimbursement folks can process.

The hotel is in a good location, about ten minutes' drive from Universal Studios, with supermarkets and panda nearby, high cost performance, convenient and free parking. Friendly service, clean and tidy. Breakfast is too simple, only bread slices, coffee, and black tea.
