The check in took a long time and the owner first tried giving us a room without a window even through we booked a double room with a window. The place smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and the walls were very stained. Bedding and towels were clean but the room could do with a proper scrub and fresh paint. The shower is over a squatty toilet and the space is very tight and awkward. Also, the toilet cistern and the boiler above it leaked so it was impossible to go to the toilet without getting wet.
