This place was a dream. Jia & Tong are lovely people with good taste. Travelling on my own and having little idea of what to do in the area (due to lacking Chinese language skills), Jia was super helpful with recommendations and arrangements. I only had one day but he managed to make arrangements in such a way that I saw another beautiful old Dong village that wasn’t too touristy as well as the stunning rice-field sunset. I felt like I could even just spend the day watching the view from the balcony whilst drinking the amazing tea. But instead I had a great day and even rounded it off chatting in great company and trying some local drinks. The local people are creative, super friendly and some have a great sense of humour ;) I’ve hardly ever felt so taken care of, so safe, and with so much fun. All the amenities are high quality, the sheets felt like 100% cotton (which is very rare across China I found!) The designs are great using local materials. And yes, the bath is great too! I forgot to ask for local shopping recommendations, which I am sure they must have as they have some beautiful items in the rooms and in the social area. I very much hope to visit again soon. It feels like an area and a place full of people I would love to get to know better.

Recommended for those who love villages, terraced fields, and tranquility. Cleanliness: The room was exceptionally clean; there wasn't a speck of dust on the windowsill. It also had a smart toilet, which was very comforting, especially since my stomach was upset due to the recent cloudy and rainy weather. Environment: Located in Tang'an Dong Village, the 270° panoramic view of the terraced fields is breathtaking. It's incredibly peaceful, and on clear nights you can even see the stars. Service: They offer pick-up and drop-off service from the high-speed rail station. The landlady is incredibly kind and welcoming. Knowing we hadn't eaten dinner, she brought us porridge and fish; and worried we might get carsick on the early train journey along the winding mountain roads, she made us noodles to tide us over. It was a very pleasant trip!

I came to Zhaoxing Dong Village specifically to experience the Dong New Year and immerse myself in its festive atmosphere. The guesthouse is located near the Lituan Drum Tower; it's easy to find using a map, and the main street is just a short walk away. The rooms were clean and tidy, with all necessary toiletries provided. It was very quiet at night, and the landlady was warm and friendly. The Dong New Year parade, the traditional rice-making activity, the long table banquet, the Lusheng (a type of reed pipe instrument) competition, and the bonfire party were all part of the vibrant activities. I experienced the customs and traditions of the Dong people in southeastern Guizhou Province – a truly worthwhile trip. Finally, congratulations to the Lituan team for winning the Lusheng competition!

Location of the hotel was really good, right next to the performance venue and about 10 minutes by foot from the drop off point of the shuttle bus. I liked the wooden interior or the room and the helpful staff. The only negative point would be that the room was really cold. The air conditioning worked on full power, but was not able to heat the room comfortably.

The service was excellent, the landlady was very friendly and kind. For the price, the facilities and scenery were exceptional, making it very cost-effective. The landlady readily upgraded our room because of the view of the rice paddies from the window. However, there are many hidden costs in this scenic area. Although the owner provided pick-up from the train station, you still need to pay an additional 20 yuan to get to the high-speed rail station. Parking at the entrance costs 20 yuan, and the daily entrance fee is 80 yuan. If you want to visit the rice terraces, you need to pay for a sightseeing bus. Personally, I didn't find any good food inside the scenic area. In short, unless you have a strong fascination with the architecture of Guizhou's ethnic minorities, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

This time I stayed at the mountain resort beauty hotel, the experience was very good, and the price was very high. Location and Transportation Not far from the high-speed rail station, the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off service, just contact in advance, saving the trouble of finding a car, especially convenient. Room Experience We live in a smart room type in the whole house. The lights, curtains, and air conditioners can be controlled by voice or panels. The operation is simple and the living is very comfortable. The room was cleaned very clean, the bed was moderately soft and hard, and it was quiet at night and slept soundly. Food & Drink The boss's restaurant must be praised! The dishes are home-cooked, but they are particularly delicious, the ingredients are fresh and the weight is sufficient. Service attitude The front desk sister is very enthusiastic, answer all questions, and the response is very fast, which makes people feel very intimate. In short, this is a very pleasant stay. Whether it is a family trip or a gathering of friends, it is very suitable here. Next time you come here to play, you will definitely choose here!

The shop is easy to find, with a stream and covered bridge nearby, making it convenient to get around the center. It's close to the main street but still quite quiet at night. The rooms even have children's slippers and hair clips—very thoughtful details. The owners are very welcoming. The owner is a multi-talented individual, so feel free to ask him anything you don't understand while exploring the Dong village. The cats and dogs in the shop are all adorable.

I read the reviews and said it was very good. After coming here, I was not disappointed. A hotel with a very artistic feel and ethnic characteristics. Seeing that I had a big boy with me, the landlady upgraded us to a double room, loft, and tatami for free. The child was very happy to live upstairs. The proprietress is very nice. Entry and exit are prohibited in the village at 19 o'clock. We got off the high-speed train a little late and could not pick up the car. When we left, the village issued new regulations that did not allow us to pick up tourists. The proprietress found a car to take us off with her own money. She told us along the way to contact us at any time. , give the boss lady a thumbs up!

B&Bs are all on stilts, and the wooden houses are not well insulated, so I just randomly booked this one. If you have trouble sleeping, you can choose to stay in a higher room or live outside the Dong Village. We live on the fourth floor. As soon as we entered the door of the B&B, the grandma who embroidered the sachets said to me ”Here we come” and it made me feel very warm. The boss will also pick us up at the entrance of Dong Village and help us carry our luggage. The landlady will wash and lay out the sheets and help us carry our luggage upstairs. He also asked us to walk softly, be quiet and respect each other. The room has plenty of hot water and the air conditioner is new. The location in the middle of the village is very lively. I thought it would be noisy when there was a bar singing at night, but it was okay. It's just that the height of the toilet room is low, and the roof leaks a little when it rains all the time. Before I left, I told the boss lady and she apologized to me🤦‍♀️ At night I only heard the sound of rain and the sounds of cats and roosters. When I woke up in the morning and opened the window, I saw rain hitting the tiles, and a kitten came to say hello. It feels like a family house. We are very careful when staying in it and even help to clean it up when leaving. I casually booked a B&B for a hundred yuan, and it turned out to be the most cost-effective B&B I’ve ever stayed in in Guizhou.
