The guesthouse room was fantastic—clean, tidy, and beautiful. The owner was also incredibly kind; I felt a genuine warmth emanating from him. It was my first time traveling alone, and I was a little worried about feeling lonely. But the owner was like an older brother, offering me all sorts of help; I felt a familial bond with him. If any friends ever visit Kinmen, I will definitely recommend this guesthouse!

This guesthouse truly exceeded my expectations! The location is superb, with plenty of restaurants and entertainment options nearby, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The room was impeccably clean and well-equipped. I especially want to commend the host; she was incredibly kind, warm, and approachable, providing attentive and thoughtful service with attention to detail. My stay was perfect, highly recommended!

Staying at Jingcheng Home Stay was perfect for us. Since Kinmen is a very small town and our family went there especially to experience its historic heritage. The wife of the owner of Jingcheng, Ms Xie  was extremely helpful on our first day as she took us around town for a short tour and helped us to ascertain the local tour bus routes. This saved us a lot of time and hassles in the following day. And she helped us to call a taxi ahead of time for our departure to the ferry pier. I recommend Jingcheng  very much for those who do not mind home stay.

A beautiful, historic homestay near the port with excellent service. High-quality bedding and comfortable beds. Walking in and hearing Celine Dion made it even more quaint 😂 Jack was super helpful with information about the ferry tickets, and even made an extra trip back to the port because I Ieft my umbrella behind. And his mom was very kind and welcoming too. A note to those who may be sensitive: there was a faint musty smell, which I’ve found common to many hotels and guest houses in humid climates like Taiwan. Earplugs are recommended for light sleepers, since you can hear courtyard and street noise in the room. Plan ahead for cash: nearby restaurants are cash-only, and the nearest atm is at 7-11, about a 20 minute walk away.

The homestay is a short walk from the bus stop (for buses No Red 1 and No 2 from the main Kinmen town of Jincheng) and a 7-11 convenience store. The traditional Fujian building is beautiful and an attraction in itself, with an atmospheric courtyard where guests could chill with coffee and/or a meal. But it has been newly renovated with modern amenities, and the place is very clean and well kept. The host was warm and really very helpful. When he heard that we wanted to walk up Mt Taiwu, he drove us to the start of the walking trail. He also gave us a contact for a taxi driver in case we needed a ride back. And when he learnt that we were tracing our ancestors, he brought us to meet an elder who might have a family register. Really thankful to have met a host like him.

The guesthouse has an excellent location, with restaurants, 7-Elevens, and Cosmed specialty stores right outside. It's also close to Kinmen Bus Station, Model Street, and the General's Office. The family room has a private bathroom, which, as the owner described, is indeed quite cramped. Cleanliness is okay, and the air conditioning, drainage, and hot water all work fine. The attic stairs are a bit steep. The living room has a water dispenser, refrigerator, and microwave, which is convenient. The lack of a pier shuttle service is slightly inconvenient, but understandable given the price. I would consider staying here again if I were to visit Kinmen again and stay in Kinmen Township.

I had a really pleasant stay at Kivala Hostel. The place was very clean and well looked after, especially the bathrooms and sleeping areas, which made a big difference for a hostel. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with, and the check-in process was smooth. The location is quiet and peaceful, which I personally liked, though it’s a little away from the main busy areas — something to keep in mind if you want everything right outside your door. The common areas were comfortable and practical, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and respectful rather than noisy or chaotic. Overall, it’s great value for money and a solid choice if you want a clean, comfortable, and relaxed place to stay in Kinmen. I’d happily stay here again.

The first time I stayed at Golden Gate Guxuan B&B, it was really special. Eighty-eight ancient art is well preserved, and it feels like a golden gate as soon as you come in. Because there is a vacant room boss to help me wait for the big room, The room was clean and comfortable, the boss was very kind, and he also introduced a lot of delicious and attractions. The location of the homestay is also very good, about 5 minutes drive from the city, Carrefour, 7-11 are very close, and it is very convenient to go to various attractions. This time I lived very comfortably, I highly recommend everyone to come to Golden Gate to play, and I also recommend staying in 88 Ancient Art!

Because they are not in the city, they originally wanted to rent a locomotive, but because it rained, and I was too late to say that the car rental place has been closed (18:00), so I had to stop, but fortunately there is a bus stop near the hotel. The traffic to the airport and the city center is quite convenient. It is not necessary to rent a locomotive or take a taxi, but the bus runs every hour. You have to pay attention to the station time. Jincheng drives on time. But it takes 10 minutes to get to the hotel. If it is slow, it will be about 20 minutes.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel and cannot recommend it enough. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. The highlight of my stay was definitely the owner; she is incredibly kind and helpful. She went above and beyond to assist me in renting an electric scooter, which made exploring the area so much easier. The property was spotlessly clean, and the location is very convenient. There is a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, which was very handy. If you are looking for a great place to stay with top-notch service, this is it.
