Environment: Facing the Eiger Mountain, it is very comfortable to have a leisurely dinner on the balcony. When you come down the first hill by scooter, you will pass by this hotel, so it is convenient to go upstairs to put your things down and take a rest. Just be sure to take the bus when you come here with luggage. Although itâs a 20-minute walk, itâs all uphill and itâs super tiring! !
Hygiene: Hygiene is very good. The water from the tap is direct drinking water, both hot and cold. The breakfast is good with a wide variety. There is a bicycle room downstairs.

The Aarburg Hotel & CafĂ© is a charming little spot in Interlaken, just a 15-minute walk from Interlaken West train station. While itâs tempting to take the shortcut, Iâd recommend sticking to the main road, especially in snowy weatherâitâs much easier for pulling luggage.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, but do note there are no lifts in this cozy hotel. Carrying heavy bags up the narrow stairs was a bit of a workout, so pack light if you can.
One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the coffeeâit lived up to all the glowing Google reviews. Breakfast was simple but wholesome, with fresh bread, croissants, yogurt, and healthy toppings like dried berries, almonds, and chia seeds. The cafĂ© is pet-friendly, so donât be surprised to see a few furry friends around.
The room itself was modest but comfortable. However, as the building is wooden, sounds tend to carry. We wondered if we were bothering other occupants but thankfully, no complaints! The location is peaceful, away from the main road, though the church bells that sound at intervals through the night was a little disturbing on the first night.
With a supermarket near the train station for quick snacks and essentials, this hotel is both convenient and quiet. Perfect for couples looking for a laid-back stay. Iâd happily book here again if I return to Interlaken.

Absolutely loved this place!
Itâs an old building, but everything is very clean and well-maintained.
The atmosphere is super cozy, Itâs located slightly away from the typical tourist areas, which makes it peaceful and quiet, but still close enough to get anywhere easily. The town itself is calm and very pleasant to stay in, perfect for spending a whole day just relaxing in the courtyard without going anywhere.
Itâs also very accessible from Interlaken or Spiez â just a short 15-minute bus ride.
Even though the bus only comes once an hour, itâs easy to manage if you check the schedule.
Highly recommend this peaceful and charming stay!

The location is great, close to the bus stop and also near the CLOY lake in Iseltwald. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the heater works perfectly. The owner was very welcoming. Excellent!

Guest UserThis hotel was honestly a really good value for the price. The location is very convenient â less than a 5-minute walk from the train station, and there are also bus stops nearby, so getting around was very easy.
It is in a quiet neighborhood with a nice atmosphere. Opening the window in the room, you can see calm and peaceful scenery outside, which made the stay feel very relaxing.
The room and bathroom were nice, and the bathroom had a separate shower area, which was really convenient.
One thing I especially appreciated was the shared dining area. There was a place to boil water, make coffee or tea, and they also provided microwave, basic utensils and tableware. It was very useful for us since we brought some instant noodles and simple food back to the hotel at night. Haha, the selection of one British tea brand they provided here felt even more varied than what I usually see in supermarkets back in the UK.
The staff were also very kind and helpful. I accidentally lost a T-shirt there, but they contacted housekeeping for me and eventually found it. I really appreciated their help.
We stayed here for two nights, and because the hotel was fully booked for our last night in Interlaken, we moved to another hotel that was more expensive. But we still preferred this one because it felt more comfortable and practical for travelers like us.

Guest UserClose to the West Station, if you take the bus from the Jungfrau, and the bus is only two miles in an hour, but only two stations are also very fast. Although there are restaurants downstairs in the hotel, it is very quiet. It was the curtain that couldn't stop the light, and the Christmas tree outside was still lit up for a night.æèž🤦ââïž

Super nice! Other than the slightly inconvenient location and the slightly small room, everything else was perfect!

XiaxiaxiayiranSwitzerland is really beautiful to live in Grindelwald. This hotel apartment is generally ordinary, but the scenery is really beautiful. If you want to live in the mountains, you need to choose what traffic is. Going to the center to shop needs to take the bus. It takes only a few minutes to take the bus. If you choose to walk for about 20 minutes, it will be very dry. The hotel can cook things but there is no range hood, so we can do it on the balcony, otherwise the whole room will smell of oily smoke. But watching the beautiful scenery cook and eat is also a special experience. It is worth coming once in a lifetime! But let me go for the second time, I will choose to live in interlaken or Tuen, young people are suitable for going to places with many people, and Greendwa is enough to go back and forth on the same day alone. Staying for 7 days is a bit boring

Hotel is a 10-15mins walk from Interlaken West station. Surrounding has quite a number of cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. It is also in a scenic part of Interlaken where you can see the mountains and the blue waters in the stream which makes for great photos. You can also spot para gliders too. If you walk along the lake you can reach Interlaken Ost station in about 20mins or so. Quite a nice walk along the river!
The hotel itself is 3-storey. Everything is pretty much self service and there is no reception/staff around - you key in a code to enter the main entrance, and there is a desktop/tablet for you to check in yourself. There is a small luggage room for you to leave your luggage inside. There is also a small common pantry with some basic electrical appliances like kettle and fridge for guests. There is no lift and you have to carry your luggage up the spiral staircase.
The room itself is small, clean and simple - just a bed, some hangers and a toilet. There is no TV. Hotel left a toblerone chocolate on the bed as a gift for us which is cute. Also found out that the owner owns a cafe around the corner (called âSpatzâ) and we were given a coffee voucher which was nice. We needed some help with check in and we went to the cafe to look for the owner for help, and he kindly helped us.
