It was a lovely and cosy hotel within the palace area of old town. It was easy to get to the port and other sightseeing places. It was close to restaurants and cafés. The staff are lovely and professional. They even packed my breakfast when I had an early start for one of my tours.  The hotel offers the bare basic amenities which was fine for me.

Great location within the Old Town walls. Very friendly staff. Room a little small but a bit expensive for what you get, but seems par for the course in Split. Breakfast was nice and despite being a small hotel during peak season, it never felt crowded. A nice bit of solitude in a busy city. Good restaurants below the hotel, with a 10% discount for the restaurant attached to the hotel for one meal.

Everything was good, except for the room amenities—lack of shelves and hooks in the room, and a meager breakfast buffet with horrible instant coffee. The location, but the service, was top-notch!

Superb location. Very friendly & helpful front desk lady when we checked in. It took awhile to find this hotel. Room is clean & spacious. Unique window. Shower is ok - toiletries are provided. Shower leaked through the shower partition. Breakfast is included - standard breakfast. The location of the restaurant was ex Roman’s bath. Very unique.

The hotel is located in the heart of the old city and it took me a little while to find it. (Taxi dropped me 100 yards away and I had to follow Google maps as no directions from travel agent). However it’s a great location to stay in Split- minutes away from the palace and the shops, restaurants and bars are on the doorstep. I also liked the history. It’s on the site of the Roman baths and you can see evidence of the past. I had a single room, which was plain and simple - but had everything I needed including air conditioning, a fridge, kettle and a decent shower. It was also very clean. Breakfast is in the restaurant on the ground floor ( there is a lift). It was buffet style continental with ham, cheese, fruit, yogurt, bread, coffee and fresh orange juice. They will also cook eggs (any style) on request. On of the highlights of my stay was the evening meal on the roof terrace. Guests get a 20 per cent discount for evening meal. The view over rooftops was terrific and the food was good too! Staff were helpful and professional, They had good advice on places to see and helped me when my transfer taxi didn’t turn up at the end of my stay. I would definitely recommend it but would advise people to contact the hotel for directions on how to find it.

We had a lovely lunch in the small courtyard of this hotel which was beautifully decorated and spacious inside. The food was very good – we shared a variety of fish dishes, including langoustines. The service was excellent and I appreciated the care taken with my garlic allergy.

The room was small and we were disappointed with the views. But the bathroom was large and very clean. Breakfast was a bit sparse, enough to eat, but limited choice. The location is fabulous. Right in old town and 5 mins to harbour or no 12 bus stop to the beach. Just right for us arriving back from an island for 2 nights then travelling on to the airport.
