Beautiful boutique hotel, very unique. Value for the price is very good. Only little thing, the hotel next door likes to do karaoke at any time of the day ..

Tamu is quite gorgeous, simple and charming. Our jungle room was pleasant and feels very tucked-away in the undergrowth. We didn’t use the pool since it is quite small and the beach is so close. The several resorts here should do more to clean up the flotsam trash frankly. The staff are really nice and very helpful, able to organise things for you and make life easy. The area is very quiet without a strip of bars and restaurants so it’s perfect if you’re looking for peace and seclusion.

"This stay at the tent hotel in Koh Rong Island is really unforgettable. The tent is built by the sea. Every morning when you wake up, you can hear the sound of the waves. When you open the door of the tent, a magnificent sea view comes into view. This fresh feeling is simply unparalleled. Although the hotel facilities are simple, they are very comfortable and full of exotic atmosphere. The service team is warm and friendly and provides thoughtful service. Here, we fully enjoyed the charm of nature and felt a unique accommodation experience. Highly recommended to travelers who love adventure and pursue novelty!"

I'm really glad I stayed at Tamu.
The room was very unique. I was able to rest privately in nature. The air conditioner was strong so it wasn't hot. It was comfortable and there were no bugs. The bedding was clean. It didn't make my body itch. However, you'll meet a lot of snails and lizards. Haha
The biggest advantage of Tamu among the many accommodations on Klong Island is that
1. All the staff are very friendly and take great care of travelers.
I felt warmth and comfort from their expressions and words.
The owner of the accommodation treated the staff well, so all the staff were the best.
2. The facial cleanser and lotion provided were really good.
The scent was also very satisfying and it felt luxurious.
If I come to Klong Island again, I'll choose Tamu again.
I love you. Tamu! Miss you ann....and david

Loved this place. First time in ages I really felt off the beaten track. Very quiet very simple but elegant resort. Small. We were in the tented rooms. Would say that only the front two are really “Seaview” but the rooms were great, with bathrooms outside the tent in the open air. Tents were spacious and air-conditioned set on large raised concrete platforms. I noticed other people had posted photos critical of the area around the tent but I felt that this was just leaving the natural environment as it was. I did think perhaps they could have concealed the sides of our tent in the same way they had the front front to improve appearance but that was a minor detail and didn’t detract from our enjoyment of the place. The bar restaurant area is all sand with benches and tables set in it which was lovely. The pool was great though we didn’t use it because we spent the whole time on the beach. Plenty of deck chairs for everyone, paddle boards available and a canoe see was amazing and the beach beautifully quiet. You can use facilities at their sister hotel about 100 m down the beach. We went there for great massages. They also organised scooter hire and taxis for us and we went across to the other side of the island which is where the party life is. Nice to wander around there but we enjoyed coming back to our hotel which felt much more exclusive and pampered. Little things I think the hotel could do is ensure that rubbish is picked up on the road out and that rubbish storage is hidden well behind bamboo screens like those they use on the sides of the tents? To be aware that the tinted rooms only come with king size beds and that if you want a twin option in those they will just put a foldaway bed in the corner so not really a fair split for those sharing probably better in that instance to take one of the forest rooms which looked great, although we didn’t actually go into them. Hotel was full whilst we were there but it really didn’t feel in any way crowded. There was plenty of space and the staff were all excellent. Food also some of the best we had on the trip, especially the breakfast fruit variety!

We were warmly greeted by Anna, who really looked after all our needs, organized a scooter, bioluminescent plankton trip and our transport to get back to airport. Khmer massages were amazing, thank you to Lina for her magic hands. The beach is amazing with a good snorkelling spot by the rocks. Thank you Mean for looking after us and always remember ing our names. The tent was really cool. I did not want to go home .

Such a serene spot. The feet-in-the-sand dining was lovely. The food pleasant, cocktails great. It was a beautiful spot and the section of beach with sun loungers, particularly lovely. Lunch on the loungers, particularly nice. An especially romantic spot for couples. The calm ocean is great for kids. Paddle boards great. We didn’t try the kayak. We happily fit one child in the tent with us. Some of the resorts nearby had bigger pools (including the sister resort, Ananya; also The One) for bigger kids. Just order a drink and let them play at any of the 7 pagoda beach resorts. You can eat breakfast at Tamu or Ananya. Ananya had more variety. I expected the food at Tamu to be better, considering it’s the most exclusive resort there, but it was still good. It’s also fun to try different resort restaurants. The One had a huge selection of food, so good for a visit. We rented scooters and visited Lily’s River Cafe in the north for lunch. Amazing, tranquil and laidback cafe with homemade baguette. Natura beach near Sok San, particularly lovely. All-in-all, a lovely, though not inexpensive stay. The tranquility of Tamu was worth it.

We’re staying at Anaya, the partner hotel to Tamu and for a change of scenery we opted to visit Tamu. I wish we hadn’t!! It was a truly awful restaurant experience which saw us waiting 2 hours for food and (after our bottle of wine which was to accompany dinner, was finished), when it finally arrived, it was the wrong order and the fish was raw. Staff seem to have no idea how to manage a “busy” restaurant of 8 tables and seated new guests who arrived 30-45 minutes after us, first. Do not recommend eating here - it’s the worst food I’ve had on the island during our 10 day stay on Koh Rong.

I was at the Tamu Hotel 3 nights in Nov. 24. I expected service and room quality at the level of the price, 170USD/day paid by the Agency, Asian Road. The room was poor, dark light inside, no fridge (isopor bax instead wiyhoiu ice!), no table, surrounding not clean, no boiling pot (see pics). Dozens meter above a chicken coop which make me enjoy the rooster crow from 1AM... Paying 100USd per day would have been acceptable. 170 is indecent.

Dined here for dinner on a four night stay at neighbouring You&Me - staff so friendly, really tasty food that was reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and return. Walk down the beach and give it a visit if you’re looking for a change of scenery!

We had a very happy 4 night stay at Tamu and stayed in a sea view tent. It was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is very friendly and the food delicious..we didn’t eat anywhere else. There is plenty of natural shade under the palm trees and the sea is stunning. One request is to upgrade the facilities such as the paddle boards and kayaks, which were almost impossible to use, as was the rented bike. Apart from this … a relaxing and lovely holiday.
