Location is just out of the city center, perfect for relax and easy to go to the main touristic venues.
Stuff is excellent and food exquisite.

I didn't want to comment, nothing to say, it's a Chinese one-star standard, except for the breakfast, it's ok

COLD The title of my review at this hotel is COLD. The room was cold, the coffee was cold, there was no hot water to shower, it too was, you guess it, COLD! I don’t write reviews very often. The experience has to be top notch or pretty bad to get me to write a review. Our experience at Hotel Garden was unfortunately the latter. It was a chilly, rainy afternoon when we arrived in early October. Our room was cold, we tried turning on the heat but weren’t successful. My husband went to the front desk to ask about the heat and he was told there is no heat available until November. We slept fully clothed with coats! The linens smelled like urine and the bed was hard as a rock. Meanwhile, I should mention, we supposedly had been upgraded to a better room as per our travel agent, not sure what the upgrade got us, God help us if we were in a lesser quality room. There was no hot water to shower, and at breakfast, the coffee was also cold, lukewarm warm at best. I didn’t think the location was ideal, would have preferred to be closer to the city center. Overall this is at best a three star hotel, I would not choose this if visiting Siena.

Nice hotel with beautiful gardens and a terrace where you can relax having a beer and enjoying the view of the Siena City. Very good breakfast. Rooms are fine, good beds and bathroom OK. Staff very friendly with just one exception that seemed to be not having the best day but, in general, nice people. Specially the man from the US that serves in the hotel bar (I am sorry I did not ask him his name). The hotel is 20 minutes walking from the train station and 30 from downtown Siena. Very good location. If, in the future I go back to Siena, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Stayed here for four nights recently and have stayed a few times previously. This is a long established hotel, It never disappoints. Nice rooms, very helpful staff, ample free parking, good breakfast. Restaurant is also very good. Easy (for me!) walk into the old town.

This was our second stay at the lovely Garden Hotel. We stayed last year and loved it so much we returned this September. The hotel has wonderful views across the Tuscan countryside. The hotel is full of character and is a typical Italian villa. The staff were helpful and friendly particularly the bar staff. We loved the large terrace and the wonderful swimming pool. The view from our room in the main house was breath taking. The bus stop to the centre is right by the hotel so it is easy to either take the bus into the centre or walk. The breakfasts on the terrace were good . We mainly ate in the wonderful restaurants in the centre. Only suggestion for improvement is some nicer lighting . There are so many beautiful lamps in the shops in Siena I just wish the hotel would invest in some . Apart from that it is almost perfect.

This hotel bills itself as a 4 star which it most definitely is not. We stayed in an annexe - Casa Bianca off the main villa which looks more like a 60s youth detention centre than a hotel and is furnished as such. Whilst we were there there were problems with the water which meant there was no running water in the taps or the toilets did not flush - and no hint of an apology from the hotel staff. The pool is the highlight of the property. The restaurant staff are friendly compared to the surly reception staff. 3 stars at best.

This hotel has a great swimming pool and a large terrace to sun bathe on. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous. The evening a la carte menu was extensive and reasonably priced. The hotel caters well for those on a gluten-free diet. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned every day. All the staff throughout the hotel are very pleasant and helpful.

Would definitely recommend this hotel. Room was a good size and kept very clean. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Ate at the restaurant three evenings and the food was delicious. Terrace had a lovely view for drinks in the evening. Plenty of loungers available by the pool. The walk into central Siena takes about 35 minutes but as it was so hot we only did this once. There is a half hourly bus which leaves from close to the hotel. The station is a 15 minute walk away and there is an escalator that takes you up/down from the main road. We had a fantastic week - thank you Hotel Garden - we hope to come back

The hotel is old and it is showing wear, from the carpets, to the walls and the outdated furniture throughout. The only air conditioning is in the rooms, which is good, but no where else is it air conditioned. The large dining room was very muggy. Staff was somewhat friendly, depending on who you interacted with. The lunch and dinner servers were friendly however, the breakfast crew seemed annoyed and bothered that anyone came in to eat breakfast. The hotel is up on a hill amidst nothing but apartment buildings. It is a 30 minute walk into city central. With the heat and the hills, we chose to take the public bus. There is a pickup spot right outside the hotel driveway. It was difficult to find the correct bus back to the hotel so we needed to take taxis. My husband described the hotel as a resort in the Catskills from the 60s that has never been updated. I would not recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for 5 nights with my family while exploring Tuscany. The family room was comfortable, but I will never forget the expansive patio overlooking the walled town, the compassionate breakfast staff (Marco, Francesca, Valentina), and the old world feel of the main building where there are comfy lounges, a welcoming bar with equally hospitable staff, and old worn Persian carpets. I felt like a real Italian tourist while I was here, not an American imposter. I'd return in a heartbeat!

We stayed in the main hotel for five nights. It's a beautiful old villa with a modern annex, lovely swimming pool (plus separate childrens' pool) and sunbathing lawns. As the name suggests, the hotel is surrounded by gardens and has plenty of car parking space. There is a fine outside terrace with views to the centre of Siena and the bar provides great complementary snacks early evening. Breakfasts were a hot and cold buffet with a good choice. We ate dinner in the hotel on two nights (unfortunately indoors due to the weather) and the food was first class. There is a convenient bus stop outside the hotel and the service runs regularly until 20:30 - when all the buses in Siena finish. After that, you have to rely on taxis from the city or walk. Visitors may find the walk quite demanding, particularly in hot weather. Taxis are often in short supply on evenings - the hotel reception kindly arranged a taxi back for us after eating dinner in the city centre. We chose the hotel as it combines a relaxing place to stay, and a base from which to visit the city and surrounding towns, as well as being easily accessible by car. We were told the hotel was due to be sold in July. Hopefully, the new owners will maintain the current high standards.
