Best Shangri-La Hotels

My partner and I stayed at the Shangri La Shangri La Shangri Ge Yuan Shangri Resort Meisu Hotel for a weekend and spent a peaceful mountain vacation. The hotel is located in a mountainous area with a very peaceful environment, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Although the guest rooms are not particularly spacious, they are very warm and the beds are comfortable. Employees are friendly and thoughtful, always willing to provide information and advice. The hotel's restaurant offers delicious ******* cuisine, especially the impressive breakfast. We particularly like the hotel terrace, which allows us to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountainous area and is very suitable for relaxation. Although the hotel is relatively remote, it is an ideal choice for those seeking tranquility and mountain vacations. 笔记

Nice location in the old city, near Gui Shan. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, changes every day. Free sweet soup in the evening was a nice touch. The room was on two storeys which was cool, beds upstairs and TV/shower downstairs, quite convenient (but no wardrobe). Baidu map took us to the wrong location so be careful, but after a call to Ctrip the owner came to pick us up (also willing to take us to the main gate when we left). If you have suitcases best to call them for a pick up as the streets in the old city are bumpy. Nice terrace on the second floor, spent a lot of time sitting there looking out over Gui Shan and the city (some photos below). Overall a very nice experience.

The Location is very nice, only a short walk away from the lively and lovely old town center of Shangri-La. The interior design of the hotel is very nice, although it reminded me of wooden Chalets in Switzerland, it immediately made a warm, healthy and clean impression on us. The rooms are spacious, very well maintained and clean. But what was most impressive was the friendliness and helpfulness of the employees. The hotel is also the loving home to a sweet red and white cat named Chara.

The uncle and aunt were really nice. When we were hungry, they prepared barley cakes, ginger tea, butter tea, etc. for us. After eating, we went out to play. When we came back, we had a yak hot pot. It was super meaty. The two of us were so full. The yak meat was in big chunks. We were originally here to stay in the hotel, but we were attracted by the food. The room was very clean. When you opened the door, you could smell the fragrance, like the smell of logs. There were humidifiers and oxygen supplies. You could see the Napahai grassland when you went out. It was very convenient and very quiet when you slept at night. In short, this was the most comfortable place I stayed in during this trip to Shangri-La. It really felt like home. If I come next time, I will definitely stay here again without hesitation!

A Tibetan-style hotel, I will stay here every time I go to Shangri-La. Convenient parking and close to the ancient city. Quiet, very quiet, a good night's sleep! The bedding is very comfortable, and the wet and dry bathrooms are separated. This time it was the Dragon Boat Festival, and the hotel was very considerate and gave us rice dumplings (heated). It was so thoughtful, I have to like it👍 The fatigue on the road will be healed here, and I will choose to stay here in the future!

Hygiene: Hygiene is very good, furniture and bedding are spotless Environment: The B&B is located in a village near Songzanlin Temple. You can walk to the gate of Songzanlin Temple in 10 minutes. The boss also gives you tickets. Facilities: The floor heating in the room burns a little slowly, but after it is heated, the room temperature is very comfortable, and it is not cold when sleeping at night. The hot water is particularly powerful! Not only does one get hot faster, but he also sleeps better! There is also a hot air fan in the bathroom, so it won't be cold when you take a shower. Service: The boss and his family are very kind and responsive, and the ******* breakfast is delicious!

They went above and beyond to make sure we arrived safely at the hotel. On arrival we were greeted warmly, with a ******* scarf and our luggage was carried to our room for us. The staff were consistently friendly and often checked that we were comfortable. The room itself was spacious with a large bed and TV. It also felt very clean. The only detractors from the room were the odd light switch placement, a less than ideal amount of room for the toilet (when sitting it was more comfortable to leave the door open), and a showerhead which was not well attached to the wall (this was rectified quickly after we told the staff). Overall these minor problems did not take away from the overall very pleasant experience we had here. There was also a cute dog, mantou, who guarded the entrance all day (asleep).

It was really cold in Shangri-La Haba Snow Mountain in November, but it was really great to sit in the camp and look at the Haba Snow Mountain opposite. It was really nice to feel the tranquility and beauty. The B&B is in American camping style. There are about 10 campsites. The furniture styles inside are designed and arranged by the owner himself. It is very warm. If there are many people coming together, you can sing by the bonfire at night. The foot of the snow mountain is so beautiful. The owner and the proprietress of the B&B are very nice. They also raised a very well-behaved and enthusiastic German Shepherd. They can guard the house at night and ask for food when eating. Hahaha, there is also a coffee shop at the foot of the mountain, which is also super good. If the weather is good, three or two people will get together in the coffee shop at night to chat about life and look at the starry sky. It is beautiful. It happened to rain when I came to Haba Snow Mountain this time, so I didn’t see Haba Snow Mountain, but camping on rainy days has a different flavor. I always have to leave some regrets and look forward to the next wonderful encounter.
