We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was a nice start to the day, and the hotel even offered fresh fruit every day, which was a lovely touch. Having a lift made things more convenient, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the north gate of Dukezong Ancient Town, making it super easy to explore. Overall, it felt like a lovely base for our trip and we left with a really good impression. Special thanks to our tall male butler hotel staff, his service is commendable. And thank you to all the lovely hotel staff there.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is super clean and comfortable. It was only a short 5 min walk away from the Dukezong Guzheng. Would recommend!

Hotel is great , good location , service was 5 star from staff . I like the deco , from my opinion the interior designer of the hotel probably a man with no vanity mirror for ladies to make up. One of staff introduced me a driver but that driver ruined our holiday at Shangri La ! We paid driver 1100 yuan pick up from Lijiang hotel to Shangri La hotel for 6 seater car , 600 yuan for 1 day tour at Shangrila . Driver was dishonest , want to bring us to his restaurant to eat so he can get commission but we declined ! Driver was unhappy that we want to go to the restaurants we chooses from XHS ! He scared us by his driving skills , cut his driving time short by giving a lot of excuses ! Saying the places we want to visit is far but the truth is only 15 minutes drive away from gaode map . He is the worst driver I had in my life where I have traveled to 91 countries and counting !!!

Location and service were great! Staff were very lovely and provided us with fruits. Only downside is there’s no hangers in the room.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, even though we didn’t share a common language – with the help of our phones, communication was smooth. We were pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade, and the room was warm, beautifully decorated, and spotless. The beds were very comfortable, and the bedding was soft and cozy. Upon departure, the staff helped us with our luggage, arranged transport to the train station, and even offered us snacks, water, and coffee for the road – all without us asking. Breakfast was Chinese-style, tasty, and more was available if desired. The hotel is located just on the edge of the old town, only a 5-minute walk from the historic center. The only small downside was the lack of hooks for jackets and hand towels in the room. We felt truly cared for and at home, even so far from home. Overall, highly recommended!

This place was wonderful with great service and very convenient location to the old town and food is very convenient too. We get the hotel arrange us the private 1 day tour and is very good experience driver who are very friendly too. The weather is so cold at night but the room with floor heater so we feel warm at night. Overall very pleasant stay will come back again

Very friendly welcome and very helpful front desk, who gave me a room upgrade and assisted me with sightseeing planning in Shangri-La. Nice room, clean and European oriented design language l, which is modern and cozy at same type. I will definitely come again!

Firstly, the location is so perfect, it is just less than 5 mins walk to ancient town! The room is cozy and clean. We had good rest here. Thier staff are friendly and helpful, we got recommendations from them for restaurants and trip arrangements. Highly recommended this hotel to everyone who plan to visit Shangri-La !

Clean and comfortable room with floor heating provided. The front desk was so helpful and we love this place immediately. It is near to the ancient town entrance and safe to walk there. Recommend to all who wanted to stay near the ancient town.

The hotel is quite new, and many of the functions in the room is AI. In this hotel both the software and the hardware work perfectly. If I have to complain, then I would say the view from my room was not very attractive. It over looks the back of a small parking place. However, it maybe my own choosing since we were there for only one night, so we had no reason to choose a better room. The service was outstanding. We needed to leave early the next morning to catch a train, and they had no problem serving us 30 minutes before the usual breakfast hour. The noodles were very good at breakfast and they really gave us lots to eat. The coffee was great as well. Thank you to all the staff there. You have made our stay perfect. The location is near the old town. Too bad we were too tired to take advantage of this fact.

first time to Shangri-la and very happy with our choice of accommodation! it’s right outside (~100m) Dukezong ancient city which gives a good balance between convenience and quietness. the room was wonderful with the best heating we experienced across our Yunnan accommodations, and the staff was super friendly and helpful, even helping me to plan for my partner’s birthday surprise! would come back again to Lanyu if we return to Shangri-la!

The hotel has amazing customer service! I arrived quite early in the date, they not only gave me room, but also upgraded me to a suite. Later that day, my cold mix with high altitude sickness made me feel miserable. The manager noticed my pale appearance and provided me with hot ginger sugar tea ( a Chinese home remedy for cold). That kindess really warmed me inside and out. The room is large and super clean, and it comes with an oxygen machine, which really helped my recovery. I felt much better the next day.
